Coming off an emotional game 5 I look for the Twins to let down a little in game 1. Joe Mays did not look good against the A's and Minnesota had to use the bullpen quite a bit the other day. I give a huge emotional edge to the Angels in game one. Worried about every day Eddie. The Angels are on a hitting tear and playing with a lot of confidence. I know the twins play especially well at home and play excellent defense but Mays is the weakest link.

I do not agree. Joe Mays is a vastly better pitcher at home than on the road. Twins are flying high and will not be done in by Kevin Appier. The dome will be rockin' and the Twins will return home for Game 6 ahead 3-games-to-2 in the series. Olympic is offering 9/2 on the Twins to win WS -- this is a savory price, has anyone seen anything higher? I believe the winner of the ALCS wins it all...

Looks pretty close. From my viewpoint, I'd go with the Halo's.

going with the angels....

going with the angels....

although this game is in minny....anaheim appears to be the play especially if joe mays continues the way hes been pitching....this team is on fire and after dominating the yanks, these guys are loaded with confidence.....walleyek's take clearly sounds like a homer's opinion.....no offense walleyek, but i think your team is out matched in game 1.....we'll see:rolleyes: good luck...GO ANGELS!!!:thumb:

I admit, I'm a homer, but I just layed a decent amount at 5:1 for my team to win it all. I think this is an outstnding price. The better play for Game 1 could be the under. Joe Mays will give the Twins a chance, I belive. He is a good home pitcher. I look for the lefty hitters, e.g. Mientkiewicz, Pierzynski, Ortiz and Jones to hit Appier well. 5-2 Twins in Game 1. Twins win ALCS in six.
