Looks pretty good over the first 3 holes. Three tough driving holes at Colonial, she has pasted her drives right down the middle. On the 12th (her third hole), 281 dead middle. 281 with no roll on a wet course is impressive if you ask me.

I find myself actually rooting for her now, I was pretty against her playing in the beginning, but now I'm pulling for her.

Anyway even through 3. Full coverage on USA.

uhhhh no roll? are you watching this??

fairways are rolling better than most on tour.....not typical Texas hardpan, but still very fast

I am watching it, her drive on 12 hit and rolled 5 yards. By "no roll" I mean not the roll you would see on a typical sunny tour day since it has been raining most of the week there.

She's got zero pressure. Playing solid as can be. (I hate to say it, but I got a steal at under 76 for this round, I think.)

Good think penguinfan didn't take any of my action!

how could she have 0 pressure?

she has tons of pressure...definitely most of her career....have you seen the media frenzy???

playing very well right now and very impressive....that being said, could not have asked for more perfect conditions for her......no wind, receptive greens for her long irons, yet fairways still rolling well

don't know where you got "5 yards" of roll, but these fairways are rolling about 40-50 yds off the tee......typically fast for a tour event

She has tons of pressure with the whole world watching her. She is under more pressure than any of the men.

I think he is trying to say that she looks like she has no pressure. She is handling it incredibly right now. She just looks like she is enjoying a morning round of golf.

Exaclty correct. I meant to say she was playing effortlessly out there.

She did just gak her last putt for a birdie, though.

what?? did you see her relief after the first tee shot and the first hole?

and her elation after her first birdie?

This girl IS feeling the pressure BUT she is a gamer and plays well under it....

to say anything else illustrates how you misunderstand the game of golf

Freeze....man you argue a lot. If someone has another viewpoint, they are stupid. Chill, dude, believe it or not some people may have better insights than you on many things.

freeze I agree, I thought she would shoot 147-150ish. She is just ignoring all that, striping driver down the middle of the fairway (10 out of 10 fairways hit) and making her putts.

Freeze--why are you such a jerk all of the time? What both of us said (not tryng to say) is that she is HANDLING the pressure. You and your attitude can **** off!

If your such good golfer, then why aren't you out on tour? Couldn't handle the pressure?

I thought the pressure would get to her but I guess I was wrong. I don't know what it all means in the long run but she proved that she can play with the men.

dont see where i am being a jerk...yyz said that she didn't have any pressure on her and that is not true....She was clearly feeling the heat --- her elation on the first tee and first hole and the way she was walking showed that...and if you stil had doubt, listen to her post round interview

why am i not on tour? do you realize how good you have to be to be on tour? guys who shoot around par at the local course are a dime a dozen

that being said, i was pretty good at a young age -- and might have been able to make it, but my parents didn't have the $$...but was able to win my way onto some national tourneys with good fields and played against Tiger, Hank Kuehne and others...remember playing with Kuehne in Arkansas and saw they guy hit 2 2 irons into a 550 yard par 5 over water to the green. I hit Driver laid up with 6 iron and wedge. Was completely mesmerized as I thought this was the level all junior golfers were on at the National level but this guy hits it as well as anyone.

to make it you either have to be a stud above studs or pretty good with cash...almost every guy you see on the tour had a silver spoon in his mouth...now there is nothing wrong wtih that IMO but that is just how it is as it applies to golf....costs lots of $$ to travel the country and get lessons from great teachers let alone costs just to play the game

Annika had perfect conditions today suited to her game......i still think if the wind blew and the greens were harder she wouldda been in trouble cuz her short game stinks....played well today just didn't roll it well at all....and the PGA Tour is basically a putting contest because everyone hits it so pure
