hey CryBoy

thanks

long time no see.

Parcells had a good draft down in Dallas and I have heard things are going to be differant this year for the Cowboys.

Defense should be much improved, but what about QB ?

when does football start again ?

1) Don King had nothing to do with the outcome of this fight, Toney won easily, the scorecards were correct.

2) Ruiz was +170 against a fat, old, lazy, blown-up middleweight that is 43 pounds heavier than he was 2 years ago and is now 36 years old. Ruiz was as live a dog as any I've seen. It was worth a small shot at +170 considering Ruiz is promoted by King and has won some close fights recently because of him.

3) This was a small play for me, just one of the many live dogs I played this weekend. I obviously don't win every dog I play but I win more than I lose and thats all that matters. You can have the Toney winner, I'll take the profits from the other 3 dogs I won this weekend.

I have to differ with you on a few things. There is no way for you to know that King did not have influence with the final outcome of this fight. To do that you would have to know what goes on behind closed doors of the boxing inner circles.

Since no one can know that but the big boys, all we can do is speculate on the most likely probability of the final outcome. At least thats what I do after digesting all the information at my
disposal.

Since Toney won by UD, I suggest I was closer to predicting what really went on. The step on the toe knockdown is suspect. The Ruiz not throwing the right hand more, is suspect. What Stone was saying to Ruiz in the corner was suspect. All these things can be played with beforehand.

It does not always have to be the final scorecards for a fight to be influenced one way or another.
Of course best case scenario is you have a judge in your back pocket. But that is getting to be more and more difficult these days.

I liked the part where you said that Ruiz has won some close fights because of King.
Thats a direct contradiction to your first statement.

In boxing just like in business , if you can follow where the biggest money influence originates,
then you can win. In this fight the money comes from Don King.

I have alot of respect for what King does.
It is hard to stay one step ahead of him. The thing I had to ask myself was this, who has the most to gain in the next fight. Thats how King thinks. The answer was Toney. Funny how Ruiz retired already also. So was this a going away present for Ruiz ?

It didnt really click in to me until someone in
frank s thread made a comment that the fight may stink. From there I started thinking and was able to determine who the winner would be if that was the case. Sounded simple enough.

When I win 975 dollars on a fight that was a difficult call to begin with, thats all I really care about anyway. And I also had to overcome the fact that you were on the other side albeit a small play.

btw BOX - great consistant record for last two years. anyone that could afford to follow all your plays would be killin.

Off the Wall forum rules in boxing !

Keep up the good work !

I have to differ on a few things also...

The step on the toe knockdown wasn't suspect, that shit happens all the time. Do you actually think they had that planned or that it shouldn't have been called a knockdown?

The Ruiz not throwing the right hand is simple, when he threw it he missed and got countered with big right hands. You don't keep doing something thats getting your ass kicked.

What Stone was saying in the corner is nothing, that shit happens all the time also. Do you think Stone was telling him "hey don't forget to lose". If this was all played with before hand, I don't think Ruiz would need reminded to lose a few times during the fight.

And on your last quote...

If thats how King thinks, why didn't Golata win the decision over Ruiz?

Both are King fighters and Ruiz has been a stinker for years. No one wants to watch Ruiz and everyone including King knows it. Golata on the other hand has a Tyson quality about him that draws attention. He also has a big Polish following here in the US. Again I ask, why didn't Golata win the decision over Ruiz if thats how King thinks.

Boxlocks-If you acknowledge Scott he sticks to you for a while,be careful.A little backsground is required:This guy is a compulsive gambler who once admitted to taking his wifes money (close to five figures)without her knowledge to make a bet he couldn't afford himself. You obviously know something about sports gambling.Just a word to the wiseguy.Check his posts about the Falcons, which he insists on putting in the section for "serious handicappers only" this fall if you want to see how weak his handicapping ability is,they are a joke.

thanks for having my back rip and Tross.

edludes is a cheap shot artist.

Don't worry ed , BOX has known me for a few years and you can't deceive him with your jargon of bs. I think your attempt was probably at newer members but I really don't care about that either.
I am who I am. Take it or leave it.

First year was a good year for Falcons plays. Last year didn't turn out so good. But you know what. I kept my losing record and money accurately for the entire season.

Can't wait for Falcons football this year.

good luck to you either way whatever edludes.
