The Rams opened as a one point favorite. Since then, the line has moved 3.5 points the other way. San Diego is currently favored by 2.5 points. I gotta' think the square money will be on the Chargers tonight. After all, the Chargers were the best team in the NFL last year, and they're coming off a home loss to Seattle last week. The Chargers laying less than a field goal looks mighty attractive! I won't take that bait, and neither should you. :nono:

Wow, I just noticed this trend in ARI182's thread! After I called in the bet of course. However, since San Diego is now favored, I think it becomes irrelevant. I'm assuming this trend is based on closing lines.

Interesting... a line moving 3.5 points in a preseason game is rare considering a lot of gamblers don't really start playing until the regular season begins.:shrug:

Yeah, in my opinion, this is an attempt by the books to make you think San Diego is the play. Money certainly isn't moving this line, because like you said, the books' handle on preseason games isn't that big. So, ask yourself, are they trying to get me to play the home dog, or are they trying to get me to play the favorite? Actually, I think they're trying to get bettors to play the SD ML.
