Seattle's campaign office for Bush was broke into and destroyed. Computers stolen too. This is not the first. It is happening all over. My question is why does the democratic people take losing so bad and feel they have to screw up peoples offices and paint walls and other baby things? Remember when Bush won, they did the same at the White House.

this is the fair and compassionate party....the "thinking persons" party.....

in truth, they are every bit as intolerant of opposing views as the most extreme, radical christian right wing extremist group....

and it`s looking like this hysterical strain in the democratic party runs much wider and deeper than anything the republicans can muster.....

i still say the dems will find a way to win....this is a holy crusade as you see from reading the remarks of eddie h. and friends...by hook or by crook....trying to allow people to vote even though they have no identification....as long as they have "sponsors"...or one piece of identification...in some states,a utility bill is enough.....lol....utterly ridiculous....talk about an open door policy to all manner of fraud.....

this is why i put my money on the dems....much more politically savvy than the republicans...they will not be denied...

a sad commentary,indeed...

we`ll see....my money`s on kerry...probably not my vote..

It is interesting to note that G. Gordon Liddy was spotted drinking a extra shot, double grande, skim latte at the Starbucks across the street from Bush/Cheney headquarters in Seattle. It is further interesting to note that G. Gordon was recently hired by Carl Rove due to his experience with political campaigns.

I find it quite commical how the war party claims that the democrats are taking there signs away and breaking into their headquarters. I mean, how childish can you get. First of all, big f***ing deal. Second of all, don't you think for every Bush sign knocked down there is an equal amount of Kerry signs knocked down.

Give me a break.

Yes a sign for a sign thats what they say. In my city by the Mississippi it started with Kerry signs in the water. However it got even over the weekend it's now Bush signs. Something tells me folks are sick of the whole dam thing.

If you guys are talking about yard signs, there's been a rash of stolen signs here, mostly Kerry signs. We had a letter to the editor less than a week ago from a guy who was driving home, and he saw a SUV stop in front of his house. A passenger jumped out, grabbed his Kerry/Edwards sign, threw it in the back of the truck and drove off. There were six different yards on his block that had their Kerry signs missing. This wasn't the only incident in the area.

In the interest of being fair, one of my less-intelligent friends in Wisconsin has a Bush bumper sticker on his car. Two weeks ago, he went to the Badger game, and when he got back, his car had been egged. I'm not willing to discount the chance that he may have just been acting like a prick while drinking before the game and pissed someone off, but, especially on that campus, the likely cause for the egging was the bumper sticker.

Perhaps we can all just admit that there are idiots on both sides rather than trying to save that honor for just the opposing side?

how about firing shots into campaign headquarters?...i believe in tennessee.... a tad more "hysterical" than stealing signs?.....wouldn`t you say?

of course, you guys wouldn`t be aware of this fact.....it doesn`t seem to be worthy of the evening news....

i wonder if shots fired into democratic campaign headqtrs would make the evening news?......

don`t even bother to answer...if you`re honest,"more intelligent" guys like yourselves know the answer....

Yes, that's very extreme. You are also correct that it was in Tennessee. Knoxville, to be exact. Two gunshots shot, drive-by style, before the offices opened for the day. So no one was there and thankfully no one was hurt.

Of course, I'm probably just making this up since I wouldn't be aware of this fact and it was never reported on.

However, if you are referring only to the television evening news, I can't comment. I seldom, if ever, watch news on TV other than occassional Headline News before I go to bed.

Political signs are interesting. Personally I have never had any political sign in my yard but did see ahuge on by mall I thought was interesting yesterday which said Democrats for Bush.

What really intrigues me is the # of signs I see in front of business's this year. These folks have got to be poorest business managers in history regardless of which sign they flaunt. Surely they must be aware they will lose business of some people as a result. I know of one print shop that will no longer have my business after 20+ years and I can't wait for them to ask me why later.

personally,i never really understood the "sign on the lawn/bumper sticker" mentality.......

certainly,it`s one`s right to do whatever with or on their own property.....

but,i`m sure, some of my neighbors don`t share my political views....and that`s just fine....

all i would accomplish by posting my political views in public,is to draw the ire of some silly extremist....who just might deface mt car or my property......

what exactly does publicizing one`s politics accomplish?.......does anyone really think that a bumper sticker or a sign can inflence another`s vote?.......unless,like edward, you think everyone other than yourself is a total moron...

i always thought that one`s politics and one`s vote is a personal thing...at least for many people...

much different than going on a forum such as this....as an anonymous moniker and kicking the s-it around with fellow sports fans....

For some reason, there are virtually zero political signs in the front yard around where I live. However, there was a vote in September in the city of Irving on allowing beer and wine sales in the city (I live in one of those places with stuck-in-the-1800s laws, so I have to drive 20 minute to the Dallas city limits if I want to have a beer with dinner... I don't get it... I just don't get it at all). Anyway... leading up to the vote, there were some areas that you could see the signs grow by the day. Someone would have one in their yard for it, the next day the neighbor has a sign against it, next day three signs for it, etc. I mean seriously, like GW said... what is the point? All it does is clutter the lawns and make the neighborhood less attractive. Just seems stupid (much like the no-alcohol sales law in Irving, which stands after the proposal got voted down).

There are people who think the Israelis and US took out the WTC not knowing the buildings would fall. Why wouldn't they break into their own buildings. Desparation
Farfetched you say.
40-50,000 murdered in Iraq and Afgh. and it's page 2 news amd not even on TV at all. Why? Nobody cares

In my neighborhood a Bush supporter claimed his sign was stolen and reported it to the local police only to be busted by his neighbor (another Bush supporter) who saw him take the sign down and put it in his garage the night before.

I put nothing past these psycho religous Bush supporters.
