Nothing of what I am going through matters the second I see this.

I don't recall any photos being taken at any funeral I have ever been to. Kinda creepy.

I'm not saying I disagree with you on photos at funerals but I don't believe this is the funeral. More than likely this is at the funeral home. It's the last photo they can have of the three of them together so I totally understand. Creepy to you or not, it's all they have.

I would think they would choose to have some photos of happier times around the house, rather than the 3 of them by the casket.

Is there any worse idea than an open casket??? What good does it do anybody much less that little girl to see their father that way???

When I go keep that shit closed and show some pictures of happier times. I want my kids to remember me happy. Not their last memory of me to be a rotting souless corpse

Wakes and funerals are barbaric they have been around since the middle ages. Isn't it time we changed our thinking on this age old practice. My grandparents nor my father had wakes or funerals. My wife and I opted out believe me it's easier on the family. JMO

Furthermore, cemeteries have to be one of the craziest concepts ever. So, we're just going to keep taking up real estate with dead bodies until when exactly? Never gets brought up, but I always wonder when someone will have to step in and outlaw them. Complete fucking waste. They need a recycle program or something.....like a ten and out program. How does the money work on that shit anyway?

Just burn my ass up when I die.

You can donate you body to a medical college where it will do some good. My grandparents, my parents, my wife and I all did. It doesn't burden the family with funeral costs and may help solving a future medical problem.
