Well, as is the way of my season, I lost again last night.
The "under" was blown away by San Diego all on their own, but the Brewer offense held their end of the bargain, tallying only 2 runs.
My question is this:
Was Ben Sheets "off" night a direct cause of the Brewers lousy team play of late?
I believe it was. Let's face it....San Diego is not an offensive powerhouse! I know every pitcher has his off days, but I ask you again, is it in relation to the way the team plays? Don't winning teams seem to find a way to pull it out when they are on a roll?
Also, Davey Lopes coaching is getting on my nerves. One of you pointed out that certain coaches don't manufacture runs. Well....this goof fits the bill to a T!

MILWAUKEE 2ND
-Sexson reached on infield single.
-J Burnitz singled to left, Sexson to second.
-Jo Hernandez struck out swinging.
Don't give me the "We need a big inning!" shit here! Obviously, the Brewers are down 3-0 at this point, but it is only the 2nd inning! You peck away at these guys! BUNT the runners to 2nd and 3rd and take the 1st out. That also removes the threat of the double play with the next batter, and improves the teams chance of getting at least one run by over 50%!
-Jenkins singled to right, Sexson to third, J Burnitz to second.
-Blanco grounded into double play, shortstop to second to first, Jenkins out at second.
0 Runs, 3 Hits, 0 Errors
Milwaukee 0, San Diego 3
No runs on 3 hits, and the Brew Crew leaves the bases loaded for about the 100th time this season!
Now, I can't say that the games end with a better scenario if the Brewers play a better 2nd inning, but don't you need to TRY to score some runs? It sure would have given Sheets a better outlook! "Okay! These guys got a couple of runs back for me. We're back in this thing!" But no.....let's fck up one more chance to play winning ball!
They are playing like a team that knows what the rest of us know:

Today's game has the Padres as -145, but I am going to risk the runline when it comes out.
