Let's see...how does this Stevens issue play directly into the current Presidential race that we all have a vote in?

Sarah Palin was a big supporter of Stevens and his policies and earmarks when she was running for election. She was photographed with him for political gain, and ONLY when named VP candidate tried to distance herself from the pork she was a supporter of when trying to get elected.

Seems to me, THAT is what is important in this last week leading up to elections. Fair and balanced examinations of candidates, right? Guilt by association is permeating a large number of Obama threads in here - so, let's be fair, right fellas?

I woulkd expect Bush to have a slew of questionable pardons just as Clinton. Surely, he will pardon Stevens as the guy would never survive prison. Is any elected leader from Alaska not a crook? We got Stevens, and the other crook I think his name is Young, and the Paling family.

I don't know where old Ted will go from here Wayne. I agree with Scottie, that one of Georgie boy's last acts will be to pardon the hopefully former senior senator from Alaska citing all the good and wonderful things he has done over his many years of corruption, excuse me, service to the contractors, excuse me again, people of Alaska.

Most likely will write some, speaking engagments, to old vfw's and young republicans on college campus' in the midwest and south. Will consult for some of the companies he did favors for while in office. I think he will be fine.

I don't know if he's a lawyer or not, Wayne. While your looking for Obama's law school credentials, take a look for Ted's too.

Wayne you often denegrate me by saying I make a living off of others misfortunes. Giving it a bit of thought Wayne, you are in the same business. All you do is bet that something bad doesn't happen to somebody before you get your investment out of them. If that doesn't work, you still don't pay off the bet by saying their problem wasn't part of your bet.

You make your salary by selling misfortune prevention and when it happens, and when you say, "oh that misfortune wasn't covered" then I make my money and happily so.

You see salesman, I love busting guys who sell snakeoil to old ladies or poliecies that insure nothing and have a court slam them with punitive damages and they pay my fees. The look on the faces of their lawyers is worth more than you could ever imagine.

Here is our businesses in a nutshell Wayne:

You really hope people don't have accidnents and stay healty.
Believe it or not, so do I.
However, if they do have an accident, you want the victim fairly compensated for their injuries.
So do I

You see Wayne, we want the same thing. The problem always arises in the definition of "fair compensation"

Sometimes its the victim whose greedy, sometimes the lawyers, sometimes the carrier.

You only see the victim and the lawyer. I've got three words for you ALLSTATE, ALLSTATE ALLSTATE.

Good day.

Eddie

I'm not a salesman Edward I'm an order taker.

I simple find best way to transfer risk that those with something to protect don't want take on thems selves.

Diff with you is your pay depends on BS you can throw at em because chances are you will never see them again--

Where my business is on long standing relations with clients with renewals primary source of income.

In other words my pay depends on doing good job for clients and retaining their business--

Yours on the other hand--is a one shot tell em what they want to hear--

of course quite probable you have several clients that sue multiple times :)

This may come as a shock to you but my clients are referred from past clients or other lawyers. My "business" depends on doing good honest job for clients so that they refer friends and relatives down the road.

Some I never see again, but most clients come from past clients or other lawyers. I despise lawyers who advertise as they cheapen the profession.

Wayne, we all sell. Some sell bs, others sell truth.
