There has been a Walmart about 10 miles from us for about 15 years & I don't remember any killings in that time....

Who else can we blame?

I'm not blaming Walmart. You said that Chicago had stringent gun laws which is true but meaningless when you just have to go to literally the next town over to get a gun.

I'm blaming the gun and the individual for gun crime. Since we can't monitor all individuals, we certainly can ban guns. Anyone else can blame whatever they'd like.

Across the globe, statistics show that restrictions on gun ownership rights lead to lower gun crime rates.

Yes, but nobody is interested in facts. Let's just talk about how it would be impossible to ban guns here and making stricter gun laws just means the criminals will be the only ones with guns.......blah, blah, blah. I'd love to strip people of gun ownership for traffic tickets and if you get caught with one after that, mega fines and/or jail.

I'd love for there to be a gun ban across the board. If giving up some horse shit "right" from hundred of years ago means the country become a little safer and less people die, what sort of selfish person would you have to be to disagree with that?

I say it is impossible because of bullshit politics though and the people in those politicians pockets.

Always going after Law Abiding Citizens, when does Dear Leader address the Chicago CARNAGE?

can you answer my question? or are you going to avoid it because you either can not think for yourself or have no answer at all other than the standard bullshit picture with a quote on it that hedgehog posts, or posting what someone else said?

seriously, what is your solution to the evident problem? arm everyone? surely you must accept the fact that there IS a problem, so what is your solution? if you can't contribute to a discussion with your own thoughts, why participate at all?

UPDATE: The New York Post is reporting that the shooter demanded that people state their religion and that he would then shoot anyone in the head who said they were Christians. According to that publication:A woman who claimed to have a grandmother inside a writing class in Snyder Hall, where a portion the massacre unfolded, described the scene in a tweet.

?The shooter was lining people up and asking if they were Christian,? she wrote. ?If they said yes, then they were shot in the head. If they said no, or didn?t answer, they were shot in the legs. My grandma just got to my house, and she was in the room. She wasn?t shot, but she is very upset.

ROSEBURG, Oregon ? State emergency officials first reported that 7-10 people are dead?with some officials? reports claiming as many as 13?and at least 20 injured in a school shooting situation at a community college. The school, Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, is reported to have approximately 3,000 students enrolled. Officials were careful to clarify that these are initial reports and the figures are still being investigating.

Oregon Governor Kate Brown reported that the shooter was a 20-year-old male. A student who was in one of the targeted classrooms reportedly stated that the shooter was demanding that his intended victims ?stand up and state their religion.? That local report stated:

Kortney Moore, 18, from Rogue River, was in her Writing 115 class in Snyder Hall when one shot came through a window. She saw her teacher get shot in the head. The shooter was inside at that point, and he told people to get on the ground. The shooter was asking people to stand up and state their religion and then started firing away, Moore said. Moore was lying there with people who had been shot.

An emergency official said that the local sheriff was currently leading the investigation, but that federal agents from the BATFE were on scene. The Douglas County Sheriff, John Hanlin, held a press conference providing the public with an update, but provided few details:

ok.....I wasn't really expecting you to provide a constructed opinion of your own, but I thought I asked fairly and if you don't want to say anything, that is fine.

I just can't respect what you say when you provide zero of your own input and the only "argument" you have is what some other people posted or what someone said on facebook.

People like Hedgehog for one.

The gunman was shooting in a gun free zone, don't you think if someone with a concealed permit and was there they could have stopped him faster? your idea of unicorns and rainbows doesn't work, it's anti psychotic medicine and fanatical religion that are the issue not law abiding citizens like myself

Yep, you nailed it.

The gun control laws have nothing to do with it.

But hey you said Obama killed all those people in the Colorado movie theatre so you clearly know your stuff.

After each mass shooting by a psycho, the government says they want to ban guns, go figure...it's not the guns that are the problem it's people on anti depressants and religious nuts, most of the time it's both

Hedgehog,

You're making a point that antidepressants and antipsychotics are causing people to shoot. Please show me any evidence that shows that is true. And hearing it on the radio does not count. Please explain your rationale, would love to hear it.

And Obama....remember you said he killed all those people in Colorado movie theatre. Let's not forget Obama, pretty sure he killed all those people at Umpqua Community College, I'll look forward to you confirming this. I am almost positive he paid off the shooter like he did in Colorado.

What is your solution? Disarm the country? Who enforces that? More legislation? More infringement on freedoms?
