Disarming the USA is a viable option or a good idea? Are u kidding me? How can people who are so into personal freedoms and not infringing on those be a proponent of taking away those very freedoms. The police should enforce this? Holy shit what a cluster that would be. That would be worse than going door to door in Afghanistan looking for terrorists. You all can't be serious can you? How many deaths would there be during this process? You wouldn't have a police force any longer because many of them would quit before they did that. That's truly one of the most absurd things I have ever read, and there is no way it ever happens.

Cie, please post a link to where this has worked as you mentioned. I would like to read about it. Thanks.

PS Why shouldn't a blind person be able to own a gun? Should they all be expected to just stay in their homes? Maybe people who can't walk shouldn't be able to own pogo sticks? Maybe people who have had their legs amputated shouldn't be able to own shoes. Heck, let's just keep all the disabled in their homes where they belong and we don't have to see them. Ridiculous!!

I can not think of any greater way of having your freedoms taken away then being shot and killed while you are attending college, or a movie or church.

Keep hugging onto those stupid fucking guns and not even attempt to give an inch on this issue.

I can not think of any greater way of having your freedoms taken away then being shot and killed while you are attending college, or a movie or church.

Keep hugging onto those stupid fucking guns and not even attempt to give an inch on this issue.

I'm not a gun hugger at all, and I'm willing to give some on the issue especially new sales and gun shows which is where it would have to begin.

Again, no one is talking about disarming or going door to door except NRA crowd using scare tactics.

Less guns = less gun violence. Period. Let's restrict guns. Convicted of a violent crime? Lose your right to bear arms for life with strict fines and jail terms for violators. Convicted of a traffic violation, lose your right for a year with heavy fines and jail terms for violators.

Right behind you
After each mass shooting by a psycho, the government says they want to ban guns, go figure...it's not the guns that are the problem it's people on anti depressants and religious nuts, most of the time it's both

See if you can follow just a tiny bit of logic:

If I do not have a gun, cannot shoot you.

If I can't pass a background check and get a licensed firearm, and if every LEO is allowed to stop and ask everyone for their permit, fewer nutjobs will have guns.

Leos can stop and ask me anywhere, any time and ask for my driver's license, my fishing license, my license to practice my profession.

Why can't they ask for my gun license?

Your post on page 2 I read as u being an advocate of disarming the country. I have nothing to do with the NRA, and I don't read their literature.

I have friends that are felons and can not own guns legally and if caught face stiff penalties, so that's already in place (and they aren't violent offenders). What does a traffic violation have to do with gun rights?

Any means to restrict gun ownership benefits the rest of us.

Fuckin' Obama. Such a lying asshole.

Deaths from gun violence vs. deaths from terrorism, in one chart

In his impassioned address in the wake of Thursday's horrible shooting at an Oregon community college, President Obama issued a challenge to the media. "Have news organizations tally up the number of Americans who've been killed through terrorist attacks in the last decade and the number of Americans who've been killed by gun violence, and post those side by side on your news reports," he asked.

Okay.

Here's what that looks like (at least, for 2001-2011, the period for which we could find the most reliable data quickly courtesy of the State Department, the Justice Department, and the Council on Foreign Relations' Micah Zenko):

More than 10,000 Americans are killed every year by gun violence. By contrast, so few Americans have been killed by terrorist attacks since 9/11 that when you chart the two together, the terrorism death count approximates zero for every year except 2001. This comparison, if anything, understates the gap: Far more Americans die every year from (easily preventable) gun suicides than gun homicides.

The point Obama is making is clear: We spend huge amounts of money every year fighting terrorism, yet are unwilling, at the national level, to take even minor steps (like requiring background checks on all gun sales nationally) to stop gun violence.

"We spent over a trillion dollars, and passed countless laws, and devote entire agencies to preventing terrorist attacks on our soil, and rightfully so," Obama said. "And yet we have a Congress that explicitly blocks us from even collecting data on how we could potentially reduce gun deaths. How can that be?"

Peace! :)

Yep, you nailed it.

The gun control laws have nothing to do with it.

But hey you said Obama killed all those people in the Colorado movie theatre so you clearly know your stuff.

the shooters was a mulsim !! member of obama army :0074

You are a simpleton of epic proportions. There is ignorance and that is one thing but you have masterfully blended that quality with a healthy dose of stupidity and hate. Congratulations. :0074
