Poor intelligent 6/5 gets dragged down by hedgehog and company on issues like this. Here's my official position:

1. Guns shouldn't and won't ever bee taken away. I like the idea of gun laws being state and local issues, because the culture of guns is more regional than national.

2. Gun owners (especially gun carriers) tend to be idiots. Zero reason to carry one when out among people. Only bad things can happen.

3. Random massacres are a price of being in the USA. Gonna happen no matter what. By grace of whatever higher power you believe (or not), just hope it doesn't hit you. We are not going to change who we are in order to avoid them. Just like we aren't going to ban alcohol because people are killed in DUI accidents.

4. Obama not muslim and is not attempting to take guns away.

I can not think of any greater way of having your freedoms taken away then being shot and killed while you are attending college, or a movie or church.
