What if your inane opinion were that blacks are less than human? That's why opinion has NOTHING to do with it. Equality is a fundamental right. In the end, your side will lose.

You are indeed correct. Therein lies the problem, a belief that humans were "put" here. Once you accept that, then you can accept anything else, that the Bible is the absolute word of some supernatural power, that it provides the only answer to any thought, and that your magical beliefs are somehow infinite wisdom.

I guess I am not surprised that ultra religious people are against this. They believe every thing that is written in a book, preached by a man in a robe, and that everything happens for a reason because of God.
You can believe in religion and go to church and pray but when religion gets into taking away rights then it is plain nutty., Religious beliefs have killed and tortured more people than just about anything.
