made a list of my "don't bother teams"
1) Giants- make you so happy until the 9th when Nen blows up
2) Arizona- well, the worst coached team ever
3) Atlanta- love my boys but always play too many close games
4)Texas- only team in history that can score 15 runs one game and none the next.

Know how ya feel

thats a good point with the rangers i am flat out scaried to play against them or on them they can score at will at times not score or score 8 and give up 11,they are on my dont touch list, went back through my first half bookmplayed a game with rangers in it 5times first half 3 of those plays were totals.

I think fletcher raises a larger point here that is an excellent one -- for whatever reason in a given season, there always seems to be teams you have a good read on, and teams you simply don't.

Staying away from those you don't and focusing on those you seem to strikes me as a good strategy for keeping more $ in your pocket.

Of course, this would require, perhaps, more detailed record-keeping than you might care to keep, but maybe it's as simple as "I do a better job at picking unders than overs, so I'll avoind playing overs or minimize the number of over plays I make, etc."

Food for thought, anyway.

I'll agree that the rangers are a stay away from team. They bit me in the ass last night with the over and losing. I live in Texas and there is a lot of talk about how they will be one of the better teams in the second half, but ill believe that when i see it. Will not touch them for a while and see if they really get their s**t together.

as a devout ranger fan, i can't see betting on them unless you are getting some great value. they are in complete disarray and are playing struggling prospects like rickey ledee on a regular basis. seems like auditions for next year have already begun, and i for one will be reluctant to play a team that is looking forward to the end of this season and the beginning of next.
