This ASU coach kicks the ball with 1 minutes left and 2 timeouts. Someone must not have told him about the new clock rules.

He will not see the ball again. You are better off going for a long 3rd down

They punted with 2:21 to play. It was 4th and 23. They were basically going to lose either way, but you've got to go for it.

After punting, ASU coach makes an even worse decision. He calls timeout BEFORE 1st down. That cost ASU at least 15 seconds. Clock was already stopped. Call timeouts after the play to save the time when the ref is spotting the ball. I was DUMBFOUNDED when I saw this, even more than the punt.

The clock rules are more ridiculous than ever this year. Last two NC State games. Not only do you have the new clock rule, but Fla. St. might have gotten the ball back in the game 2 weeks ago. State got the ball and ran the pre-1st down 25 seconds. They got a delay of game....refs spot ball and START THE CLOCK. Are you kidding me? State wastes 50 seconds BEFORE 1ST DOWN!!!

And nobody notices. Its not a big deal when it happens in the 2nd quarter, but late in the game it matters. The inconsistency in college football rules pisses me off to no end. And, no one will listen.

I agree. YOU GO FOR IT. Dumb decision to punt.

ASU has QB who can make long throws downfield.

Refs have been throwing flags all night on both teams. So maybe ASU gets lucky and USC does late hit on QB, face mask, pass interference, or late hit out of bounds. Anything that would give ASU 1st down.

Didn't ASU have a 3rd and 22 on that last drive in 1h and ASU got 1st down and ended up scoring a TD.
