I got the impression the kid was handicapped. Looked like his father was holding him up and it took all he had just to sing the anthem. It may not have been perfect ~sounding~, but it looked like it took all the strength he had. I thought it was pretty moving.

yeah, i got that impression as well... just thought they'd give a little more background info on it... would help explain! i was thinking one of two:

a. handicapped kid givin his all for the anthem
b. dad is in iraq or was kia...

both suck... kid did well for the situation, biggest crowd he'll probably ever be in front of!
