Any chance of USC vs. LSU?

You guys probably follow this stuff alot closer than I do. I want to know if there is a chance of an LSU vs. USC BCS game. I am not talking about the "Championship" game. I am talking about the Orange, Rose, Sugar or Fiesta Bowls.

Everyone knows that we are the best two teams in the country and being a fan who doesn't care about sportswriter and coaches rankings, I just want to see the top two teams square off in January. I'd greatly appreciate it if someone who knows the BCS placement rules could help me out here so that I can start looking at travel plans.

No, everyone doesn't know that USC is a part of
the "best two teams in the country". I would
think that losing to Stanford AT HOME and to
Oregon would negate your homerism, but guess
not. Your travel plans might be simple. San Diego
can't be more than a two hour drive.

lol....nick- ive been around here long enuff to know that nobody around here follows anything to do with ur trojans and any bowl game that they maybe playing in as close as u do....i like ur sarcasm and sense of humor tho...unfortunately,as im sure u recall, ur trojans swallowed their nutsax on oct. 6th and shit their panties at the coliseum in front of 85,000 strong against the high powerded stanford cardinal....u remember!!! u were there!!! or were u too busy daydreamin and wishin u could blow pete carroll again?:nono:

Texas-USC....holiday bowl.....should be a fun matchup.....

.....actually, USC does have a decent shot at BCS at large......maybe Rose if Ducks are in title game......there are four at large slots, if you accept that terminolgy, and it is wide open as to who will get them.

Will USC if they win out......will LSU if they lose in, say, SEC title game.....anybody's guess.

But, i am not clear on how the actual selection process works.....bowls pick them a la a draft, but not sure the order and so forth.

you make any travel plans. You might be making

Blah blah blah blah. You scrubs want to talk about anything except how good the actual teams are. Now that USC is healthy, the only team that has a good argument is LSU (and maybe the Sooners).

Now... Any real answers? Is there a way that LSU and USC can play in a BCS bowl? I was looking at it and it seems to me that if LSU drops the SEC Championship game and if OU plays Oregon for the "Championship", then USC could get LSU in the Fiesta Bowl. Is there anything I'm missing there? The Fiesta does become 2 at-large teams if the Big XII champ plays in the "Championship" game, right?

Sugar Bowl is SEC plus an at large. If LSU loses to Ole miss or Arky, then win the SEC championship, they could face USC.

Oh, damn. Thanks, Cle. Man, that would be even better. I'd love to go to New Orleans. Phoenix is a real dump.

Sadly (or happily for you), it's hard to imagine LSU taking a dump against one of those two teams. Should be interesting, though.
