My employer is begining random drug testing begining July 1st. I have been a big pot smoker for 25 years now (every day--a couple time a day) and am curious as to how long it would take (approximately) to get the toxins out of my system...I smoked until I got dizzy yesterday/last night as I pegged it my last day of smoking...do I have enough time to be clean if I were to "randomly" get selected on July 1st???

they say it's not psychologically addictive, but I can't stop thinking about it today...it was like butts for me...

how about the time frame for painkillers as well, any idea how long they stay in the system as I may have to transfer this addiciton to take the edge off for a couple days...

I have a bud who buys this concoction from the health food store.............he has used it twice and passed both times. He swears by it. He also sent out for this other stuff online, which was a tad expensive if I recall right. He wasn't picked this time around, so he still is keeping it. If need be, I can find out the names of the products.........just ask.

Most companies are checking for harder drugs than pot, like coke or heroin or painkillers. Some do check for pot, but based on what kind of work you do most won't even approach you if you test positive for pot. The problem is they usualy don't give you a list of the drugs they are testing for - and you would look like an idiot if you asked, so most people assume they could lose their job if the boss finds pot in your test. They are looking for drugs which are highly addictive and may lead you to steal company funds to support your habit. Most companies are aware that a large portion of their employees smoke pot recreactionally. If we fired all the pot smokers we would lose 3 out of 10 people from the workforce!!

In other countries I would agree they dont care about the wacky weed, in the US they are LOOKING for ways to eliminate employees in order to hire CHEAPER labor!!! My advice is this, unless you have a government job(in which you would be a fool to be toeing the line-so I doubt you do) but any REGULAR job cannot PAT YOU DOWN OR WATCH YOU PISS, they make a great device that heats up dried urine called the whizzonator expensive but it gaurantees another check!! If Jack would be so kind you may EMAIL me and I could give you a HOME REMEDY THAT WORKS EVERYTIME, I AM LIVING PROOF...although since my last test I have QUIT:scared smoking the joint, hit me up and I will be glad to give you step by step procedure to pass not only the CLEAN URINE but also the WARM URINE as the temperature has ALOT TO DO WITH A PASS OR FAIL!!!! Sorry guys but a friend and myself did this several times and it has NEVER WENT WRONG, I will GLADLY HELP anyone who needs but to post it wouldnt be the smartest idea, just as companies caught on to testing for the ADDITIVES we once used to pass the test they will find a way to eliminate this idea if EVERYONE DOES IT AND 1 or 10 STUPID A$$ES GET CAUGHT DOING IT!!!! THIS WILL SAVE YOUR JOB AND A$$!!!! thanks for the replies guys, I do work for a Municipality, but not the government per se...If 5 weeks isn't long enough (longer if I don't get "randomly" selected on the first day), then I will find another job. I could probably do much better in the private sector but the hours and bene's of this job are good and so is my 15 years seniority...

it flat out sucks though as they shouldn't care what I do outside me job...

5 weeks should be plenty of time. You should find some small lab and have them test you now, in 2 weeks and then a few days before your real test. You should be able to find someone that can do it for 30 or so dollars and knowing for sure is worth it. Just be up front with them about what you're getting tested for and they'll tell you exactly what they see and then in 2 weeks how much is still there and they should be able to tell you at that rate if you'll be cool or not.

If you've been smoking for a long time and you smoke a lot when you do then you might be suprised how long it stays in your system.

I wish it was so easy to find a job in my area WORTH WORKING as you make it sound, Im no Lawyer or Licensed physician but I do have Class "A" CDL license and also well versed in installing tele-communications(just a short 2 years ago I owned my own small company) installing DirecTv as well as doing subcontracting work for Comcast (diesel fuel is a arm and leg now....and my company was let go for reasons of downsizing even though we had the second highest % of completed jobs and least amount of complaints at the HUB). If its that EASY to say F-it and walk away from 15 years of seniority to FIND ANOTHER JOB, I am packing my stuff soon as I get a response to re locate, FINDING WORK OR A NEW JOB isnt very easy right now, arent we boarding a recession??? So it would probably be in your best interest to DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN to ATTEMPT to save yours. I know quite a few people that have very tough times right now as they have been put out of work for various reasons.....Dont know your trade or field of work but to just have the screw it attitude may not be best!!! Or ATLEAST secure another job as you know you are doomed if they pull your number, bad part is ANY NEW JOB WILL MOST LIKELY BE PISSING YOU ALSO FOR NEW EMPLOYEE STATUS regardless if they do randoms or not......email me dude I am not trying to sell you anything but give you a GREAT WAY to pass the test without worrying about lifestyle changes, you can continue to smoke if you like also!!! Its a few short steps and hasnt failed myself or my buddy in 15-20 different tries, driving a commercial truck in New Jersey, which I dont right now, you must piss for EVERY JOB YOU QUALIFY FOR....only problem there would be is to have an accident where as you get pissed on the spot if Im not mistaken. If you feel as though I am BSing you I will post the MOVES on the site for all to see(its actually common sense) due to the fact I quit smoking in January and could piss infront of the president right now---but as I stated when this simple idea gets to be used and a few A$$ES that go to the testing station high blows a few test and gets sloppy I am sure preventive measures will be put in place SOONER OR LATER and we have used this for over 5 years....neither one of us no longer smoke actually!!! So it makes me no difference as we cant sell the idea to anyone although that would be SWEET!! DONT JUST LET YOUR JOB GO DOWN THE DRAIN IN TODAYS MARKET!!!! I hope you and realize F-it isnt the BEST way to handle the situation, the test is beatable EASILY!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!

Oh I certainly don't have a F' it attitude.

I live in Manchvegas, NH, Jer-z.

I just finished my bachelors degree in Business Admin and hold the highest grade license in my state for Wastewater Treatment so finding another job wouldn't be hard. But finding one 1.3 miles from my house, with a M-F 7am to 3pm schedule would be. I've quit and don't think it will be an issue (as long as I don't slip up). :weed: :weed:

do you run? workout?

do alot of running, working out, and steam rooms the weeks leading up to the test. drink a gallon of water per day. just to be on the safe side buy a one of those shakes from gnc. you should be fine
