Finally walking well enough to risk the evil dark. It's hotter than a Cabbage Patch doll in the 80's, and my air conditioning requires hallucinogens to function ontologically.

No excuse to not have this thus far.

machina: Their high expectations and sharp analytical skills make them natural critics. While they do not always mean to hurt people, their blunt words and constant corrections can come across as harsh sometimes. Their perfectionist tendencies can also lead them to miss out on good opportunities.

Still having issues with these hooligan pylons loitering in the parking lot. Same gang that attacked me some 5 weeks ago. Just last night I'd cornered one, snagged it, and tossed it a good distance over the fence and off the property. That sentry has already been replaced and there are more of them. Attack of the killer pylons.

You'll have to take it up with my management team if I'm imposing on intellectual property.

Psilocybin, I presume?
Tempting to argue such terminology belongs exclusively there, but there is a certain amount of bravery required for pushing the limits of anything.

Would love to hear description of plus or minus involved. No regrets, I imagine.
Cheers!

Ever look at the clock and think to yourself, fuck Bobby Orr? Me neither. Once. My body signaled to get up but then my clock added, ha ha, mofo, its only 4:44am!

Thrilled to tears that the lyrics provided such consilience. That was an E.O. Wilson term, wasn't it? I used to know a whole lot of nothing at all but I can't remember. Progress.

Coffee sounds harsh in this morning's heatwave, and I don't even think that Cream's nursery rhyme lullaby can lull me back to sleep. Might head outside for some fresh pollution if these tunes don't (please) kill me.

personal fave
no question

This risque stoner rock group from Norway, Thulsa Doom, included this on their first full-length (2001's The Seats Are Soft But The Helmet Is Way Too Tight). From the mellow, dark blues of the opening, to the raunchy and celebratory angst at the close, this track has long intrigued me. For me, it's about finding yourself in a precarious situation during the darker hours, alone in a bad part of town. The transactional nature of street life sometimes requires taking unnecessary chances.
I′m going places I don't wanna go
I′m meeting people I don't want to know

Confrontational, for sure. Sometimes, I've found myself in positions where I had to choose between acquiescence and violence. Biting the bullet may appear to be a good plan until one gets punched in the face. Yeah, been in a few of those situations where having Mike Tyson as companion would have tipped the balance. In lieu of that, I've experienced mixed results. Caution to the wind.
Fuck you, frailty
Fuck you, consequence
Fuck you, fuck you, silence, yeah
'Cause I got the ambulance ride

Harsh mood, today.
I'm hoping this can diffuse some nervous energy.

Too late for any Jays prediction. I don't know Cade Horton from a hole in the ground, but it looks like he's been very solid over last 4 appearances, though short'ish. Gausman unpredictable hit or miss, but Cubsticks quiet lately. Under 9 if it was available. Looks like was a juiced under 8.5.

Go Jays!

Jackie Blue Dream came threw. I'll pick my battles tomorrow.

Need a reason to avoid trouble tonight. Experiment with head should keep me put. Try one of those hippie flips, or whatever they called it, as I can do it easily via swallowing some capsules. 100mg of Ms. DA. I've got both 250mg and 300mg shroom capsules, so 2 of each should give me a singleton combo. If somebody dies tonight I may edit this, unless I'm somebody.

Good. Damage is done. Hopefully incapacitated within 60-90.

Other than some wild, live guitar solo videos, this is all I need to add before dying and being reborn in cyberspace, or however that works. Side project of Australia's Lucid Planet, played a few days ago. Was going to add this sooner but undecided on a certain track that caused me 5-8 seconds of something a step down from panic.

I was lying down taking this one in via headphones a few nights ago. Just me, myself, some(+) cannabinoids, a caffeine fog, and an insomnia hangover. This track mentioned came calling and I had a few seconds to consider what I might need to hide if it was the police, including myself. That may sound far-fetched but for the first two sets of knocks, it did NOT seem to be coming through the headphones but overtop of them, based on the weird echo or something. After 15 years I have a good idea what my front door sounds like, from soft tapping to more irate banging.

Was short and painless enough to make it an interesting experience, reflectively.

This disc is kind of trippy cool, I think/hope.

Apparently, this phrase means something to me not meant.

AI Overview

The expression "discretion is the better part of valor" means that it is wiser to be cautious and thoughtful, especially in dangerous situations, than to act impulsively or recklessly. It suggests that true courage involves knowing when to restrain oneself and assess a situation before taking action. The phrase originated in William Shakespeare's play "Henry IV, Part 1".

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Origin:
The phrase appears in Shakespeare's play Henry IV, Part 1, spoken by the character Falstaff.

  • Meaning:
It highlights the importance of judgment and prudence in situations that require bravery. While valor (or courage) is often admired, it can be foolish to act without considering the potential consequences. Discretion, in this context, refers to the ability to make sound judgments, assess risks, and act accordingly.

  • Context:
In the play, Falstaff uses the phrase after pretending to be dead to avoid a fight, then later claiming to have killed his opponent. This highlights a cynical view of courage, where self-preservation is prioritized over outward displays of bravery.

  • Modern Interpretation:
While Shakespeare's use was somewhat ironic, the phrase has generally been interpreted as sound advice about the benefits of thoughtful action over rashness. It is often used to encourage people to think before they act, especially when facing potential danger or difficult circumstances.

I needed that, whatever that was. I was getting totally irate about most aspects of existence, and that was a therapeutic mindgame, in a way, more than most of such previous adventures, where there will always be a recreational component for me. Feel mildly reset but will sleep on it. Should sleep like baby. MDMA seems like it should inevitably be beneficial for conflict resolution. Crucifies the ego, as this centerpiece of Tool's triple-shot Lateralus piece advocates. I'll attempt that waxing poetic bit for the whole triple (Disposition / Reflection / Triad) if I live long enough, but for now let's just say this is a candidate for my choice cut of this century (i.e. 2000's).
