Thanks for your reply redking:D I spent about 2 hours with my drunk neighbor learning how to use my scanner :D He had to be drunk for I have the patience of a 5 year old when it comes to the computer. Everyone claims how easy it is! But not me thanks for your help.

Redking, I reinstalled IE 6 thinking that might restore some of the files I seemed to have lost and it still didn't solve any of the problems. I am still getting error messages that state that I have low disk or memory space after moving the bar halfway over like you suggested. Any other ideas or should I make a call for help. I really appreciate all of your time and advice you have been giving me in trying to solve this problem. I also did another virus scan and it came negative. Thanks again.

TBones, :toast:

Captain,

Hmm...try moving the bar down to only 100 MBs and try deleting your Temporary Internet files. You can find the button to delete it, in the same place where adjust the space allocated.

Also, is the error message telling you you're out of space or memory. They're two entirely different things to diagnose. :(

See if deleting the Temporary Internet files helps. Also uninstall old programs/games you don't use anymore and backup/delete any other files you don't use a lot anymore.

Lemme know what happens. I'm here to help.

Redking, I actually did that right after your previous reply and did seem to help a little, but did not solve the problem totally. Here is what it says when I try and open a folder and it won't let me.

Folder could not be displayed
Outlook could not open this folder
Possible causes are:
-low disk space
-low memory

I still can't delete emails after I minimize or close OE. I have had a little more success in sending, but it is not very fluid. Have I stumped you yet.:D I still think it has something to do with that missing file, but that is just a guess. I went through the other day and deleted all files I don't use. Is there someplace where I might look to find "hidden files". I did something not to long ago and it said there were like 300 and some hidden files. Where do you find those and how do you get rid of them.

One other thing, I went to "My Computer" and double clicked on [C:] and then clicked on properties to see how much disk space I have . Used=3.29GB Free=3.03GB I then clicked on disk cleanup and it said I could free up 3.31MB if I deleted the Temp Int Files from IE 5. Beings I have downloaded IE6, are these some things I could get rid? There are 7 different folders and they all contain a bunch of files. Are these old ones that I can delete? The way it reads, it seems like they might be old ones that aren't used anymore beings I have IE6. I think you have earned a steak dinner. If you ever pass through KC, consider it done. Thanks again.

Captain, thanks for the offer, but if I pass through KC the first thing I'll do is fix your computer! Because you have stumped me...I don't think I can fix it...maybe in person?!? Only thing I recommend is backing up important files (business docs, resumes, photos, movies, music, porn) and consider reinstalling Windows. When Windows reinstalls, it might find the missing file and replace it.

Would recommend you finding a local high school computer nerd or maybe local computer store (or CompUSA) if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself. :)

TBonez, I'm from south plainfield. It's in middlesex county...kinda north-central jersey.

Peace. :weed:
