Use the scroll bar inside the post - maybe this helps

That is great because Sprint's data plan for the Palm Pre is $60/month. AT&T's data plan is only half of that.

From my experience (just mine), only the iPhone and the Palm Pre were able to actually place a bet with an online book. Blackberries and others can access online books, but can't actually send a bet through successfully.

$60 for the data plan, that's high. Looks like IPhone or Palm Pre would best suite me. Thanks

I'm not sure where you're getting your numbers but when it comes to phones that require data plans none of the big three are cheaper than Sprint. Sprint also has the IPhone 4g coming out soon but more importantly have the HTC Evo coming out which should be the top phone on the market.

Just so we're clear on pricing here is exactly what I pay with sprint.

69.99 for 450 anytime minutes, unlimited mobile to mobile(any mobile on any other carrier), unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited text, unlimited data, GPS and everything else they offer.

I'm not sure what ATT will be for the Pre but for the Iphone the same plan would be

39.99 for 450 minutes anytime, unlimited mobile and nights and weekends.

30.00 for unlimited data
20.00 for unlimited text(not sure if this is inlcuded with data plan, if so take it off)
9.00 for gps(I've only used my GPS a few times on my sprint phone but again we're comparing costs)
98.99 for the same thing as Sprints 69.99

Nick, to be honest I don't know how all the pricing works with ATT. I just went by what their website says. But just so we can compare apples to apples the Sprint plan that is 99.99 is unlimited everything inluding anytime minutes.

this is true. sprint is the cheapest you will find available that have 3g and now 4g coverage. But they also have the slowest 3g-4g coverage and also don't have 4g coverage in most locations. Their 4 g coverage is very minimal and the reason you pay less is b/c well all in all...this company has gone down the tubes after the acquisition of nextel. They tried combining 2 companies that use 2 different cell phone technologies sprint (cdma) nextel (IDEN) not the brightest idea and now they had to drop down their prices so low due to the amount of churn they encountered. 2009 4th quarter reported a net loss of 980 million and loss of 84 cents per share. Not a good combo...so if its true that Palm is headed for bankruptcy....sprint should be following soon after. :0corn

in my opinion for sportsbooks...the best phone and OS is going to be Palm, iphone and droid. Blackberries are great for email but the web sucks on em as of right now. The most pc like experience is going to be those 3 phones...i am biased to the droid OS.

I'm not sure about others but my 3g is pretty fast. I connect my laptop to my Hero to get online away from the office and I don't notice much of a differnce in speed from my cable internet. As far as service goes(IMO) the voice part of Sprint blows ATT away. I'm not sure if it's an Iphone issue or ATT issue but I have more issues with calls from friends on ATT than anyone else. Palm going into bankruptcy won't hurt Sprint as much as it would have a year ago. With the new droids that are out and the Iphone coming this summer they'll be fine.

Now if you want to talk customer service then I'll have to agree, Sprint sucks. But, I haven't talked to anyone in customer service for years so I'm only going by comsumer reports.
