I have a sewage ejector pump in our basement which is connected to our downstairs bathroom and our upstairs kitchen sink and dishwasher.

How do I keep the buildup from accruing to a point where it causes problems with the float switch working properly.

There are two problems that occur. The float will get stuck in the off position and the basin overfills. Or the float will get stuck in on position and I'm afraid of the motor burning out.

To date, the only remedy that I know to do is to remove the top and manually clean the 25 gallon tank out by hand.

And that's just gross.

It builds over time. I have to manually clean it out about once a year.
