If there is, I have a question for you guys.
Recently, while stopped at a red light, my wife and I were rear ended. The other vehicle sustained what appeared to be major front end damage but still was able to flee the scene.
While waiting for the police to arrive, wife and I compared notes about other vehicle. We both agreed it was an older (early 2000's) foreign vehicle. We both agreed about 5 of the 7 numbers of his license plate (X X X ? ? X X).
The police arrived, we gave them the info we had, and the cop says nothing comes up with the plate number we gave him.
Wouldn't 5 of 7 numbers of the license plate be enough? Or did he figure that since we had insurance, screw it, collect from the insurance company, and forget about it?
