The best team in the Big 12 RIGHT NOW is the Oklahoma Sooners.

3 secs you can admit it now, they got it right, oh wait you already did when you said that OU would be favored by 6pts over Texas.:mj07: :142smilie

They didn't get it right or wrong, they have a horrible system. Conference should determine their champ without regard to BCS settling ties.

How would you do it Touchdown? Bear in mind that the BCS ranking was the 5th tiebreaker that had to be used to seperate the three schools.

Everyone acts like OU got hot late in the season.
NOT TRUE.

THEIR OPPONENTS GOT WEAKER(except TT).
Mizzou stinks, just ask Texas or even Kansas.

Fact is OU was hot going into the Texas game and people act like they were not.
I keep hearing they beat the crap out of Cincy and TCU then people say they were not as hot early in the year. WHICH IS IT????
They scored 57,52, 49,and 35 before Texas game. They scored 49 on Baylor only because they shut it down in 2ndH scoring 14 points.

The fact is they were just as hot going into the Texas game as they are now.
I am not saying OU is less deserving than Texas at this point(I gave up that useless fight), but to say OU is the clear best in the BIG 12 is a JOKE.

They are one of the two best is a better way to say it.

jhawksoon....honestly, I think I would have the last tiebreaker be to draw a name out of a hat. The 3 teams were completely tied and I don't think BCS position is a fair way to do it.

Its rare that you will have this situation and head-to-head will take care of most ties so its not something that would be used often.

I think they are downplaying conference titles as well, as if the only importance here is the BCS and like someone posted on another thread, the BCS is supposed to be used at the season's end to determine #1 and #2, not to determine outcomes before that.

Overall, its just one more mess of a season leaving us wondering what would happen in a great 8-team playoff.

I hate USC, but would love to see how they would do in a playoff.

Touchdown, totally agree. Drawing a name would be just about as good of an idea, but people would also bitch about that. You know, people say that the Big XII needs to do what other conferences do and drop out the third team that is the lowest in the BCS rankings and then go to head to head. The problem with that is that you're still relying on the human vote which as we have seen with Mack Brown can be coerced if the coach spends every waking hour going on T.V. and radio broadcasts whining about it.

There is a very good reason why the BIG XII chose this way to do things. The reason is to help themselves have a team in the National Title game. If you put your team that is ranked highest in the BCS then it gives you a better chance of getting a team in.
