Be very careful at public auctions...you've got independent low life dealers and curb stoners (non lic.) dumping vehicles. Dealer/Individual is responsible for a clean title unless it is announced as a salvage/re-build or insurance loss. Junk titles that no bank will loan money.

Red light...As IS

Yellow light...exceptions

Green Light....Good gears

1st car I bought at a dealer/public auction on a green light in the early 80's had a rod knocking, doctored up. Went to arbitration...transmission shifted. I owned it...took a big hit on that one. I was in the business then. and bidding against the owner :mj07:

I guess I will just call them, but I see nothing that says you have to be a dealer:shrug: www.peachstateautoauction.com

Sounds like some of you have had positive experiences though. Would be intersting to go to one anyway.

OK just looked at your list real quick and you're dealing with cars that are ten years old and older.

Everything I was talking about was 1-2 year old cars with 20,000 miles.

That's a whole different can of worms and I wouldn't go near them.

I wish you had put this up first. I would steer clear of this I know of no one who has had positive expierences with these type of operations.

:0074 Thanks man. This is one that is close by. I assume the ones you are refering to are around, but this one is close by so I thought I would take a look. It makes more sense what you are saying if your dealing in "higher end" cars.

My guess is that the auctions open to the public are the cars that didn't get picked up at the 'dealer-only' auctions.

I would probably steer clear of this as well.
