it works like a charm and you never even think about cigarettes BUT i had to quit using it because of all the side effects i was getting pelted with. run a google, there are some horror stories about it. i believe you have the incorrect spelling, however.

My wife was using this and she started to have some terrible dreams. It was working but she too had to stop using it..

it's Chantix.... Jack and I have talked about it via e-mail. I didn't have any of the bad side effects that he had, but I did have soem lucid dreams. unlike eman's wife, I kind of enjoyed the dreams, so I didn't consider that a bad side effect.... They were kind of out there at times though....

I thought it worked great!!! The only time I caved in while I was taking it was when I was drinking....

Varenicline (trade name Chantix in the USA and Champix in Europe and other countries, marketed by Pfizer, usually in the form of varenicline tartrate) is a prescription medication used to treat smoking addiction.

yeah, i thought the dreams were good and very vivid. the side effects i got were really bad joint and neck pain. i mean really, really bad. i searched internet forums and some people had some serious shit going on so i stopped beofr something worse happened. also found during my search that most people start smoking again as soon as they get of the pill so it's cold turkey for me if i am ever ready.

I haven't seen the last part in the people that I know that have taken it.... Ex's father was on them for a couple of months and he's been cigg free for the last 6 months.... Few other people that I know that took it have also quit. Seems to be a problem with folks like me who can *easily* quit while on the pill, then a few nights out drinking (hence lowering the willpower) and bing, bang, boom.... Back to buying packs at a time. I didn't even want one while on the pill and after I quit taking it, I never wanted one until I started drinking.... The problem is, I drink too often, so after a while, I'm right back where I started. :nono:

I'll have to quit the booze for a few months in order to quit smoking...but the pills sure made it much easier. Easier than any other thing that I've tried and I've tried all of them. :SIB

That's some good info.
Thanks.
I guess I'd be wise to do a search and read up about it but, based on what I've heard here, I figure that it's a pass.
Maybe summon some willpower someday.
Probably counts a lot more.
