They are extremely hard to match-up with because of the two big men twins they have. They played a very tough schedule down the stretch and that's why their record was not that great. I think the Pac Ten was much better than the Big East. Also, I think everyone is buying into this talk about Stanford not belonging. Personally, I think this line is way off. Stanford getting 6 seems like just too many. I know it's being played in Lexington, 70 miles from Louisville but Xavier and Ohio State are there as well and will have a lot of fans. Cincinnati (home of Xavier) is just as close to Lexington as Louisville and you know that Ohio State bought up a bunch of those tickets. I think Stanford wins the game outright. Good luck.

I WILL be on Stanford!!!! They are one of my 4 Thurs plays. They are the only Pac 10 dog in the tourney and expected to get pounded by LOU, but I see them surprising everyone and moving on unlike other Pac 10 teams...(USC, ARI, and WASH St could all lose 1st round IMO). I hear such big talk about the home court for LOU...big deal!! Once the game gets going it's all about the play on the court. GL!

Don't buy into the home court hype. Have a sister that lived in Lexington and she said Louisville is not well liked there.

so people in lexington are going to the regional?
just to root against LVille? that doesnt make sense.

i would think people in louisville would get the tickets and head to Lexington since it's a short trip

I am one that does buy into the hype of the home crowd being there for Ville. Like sdf said, who is going to buy tickets to root agianst Ville? And how many Stanford fans will be there? If you guys don't think a crowd rooting for you doesnt factor into home court advantage then we disagree there as well.

Anyways, to address Stanford as a team, they do play well at home. Beating UCLA/USC/WSU/Ore at home is no easy task. Too bad they are playing at Rupp Arena. On the road they are terrible and I can understand that if you think the Pac10 is just so dominant then you could pick stanford, but RS you said you had alot of Pac10 making early exits, that just doesn't make any sense to me.

Ville might have trouble with the front court of Stanford with the Lopez twins who have caused a stir in the Pac this year. But Besides Washington who has a big frontcourt? And Washington smoked them at home and came within a bucket at Stanford(UW was terrible on the road too)
Now Louisville has played big frontcourts in Pitt and Georgetown. And even though they had a losing record vs them, they still beat Pitt AT Pitt. And comparing the frontcourt of Pitt and GTown to Stanford with those twins(one of which gets barely any pt and the other one doesnt lead in reb or pts) is pretty far fetched. And Ville finished the season hot winning 7 of their last 8. Meanwhile Stanford LOST 5 of its last 8.

Like I said, if you think Pac10 is that dominant i can understand having stanford advance(but you probably have WSU/Ore/UCLA in the final four as well) Sure anything can happen in March, but just picking Stanford because some who analyzed these games are picking Ville is not handicapping or smart. I will finish saying the last worthwhile on the road win Stanford had was against Virginia(unless you consider Cal and Ore St worthwhile) and that was over 3 months ago! and that was their only 1.

Everybody is hitting Stanford also because the guard is back. They lost without him.

Think it's a bit much to expect. I'd watch what the line does here.

Goods is a medicore player.. He's a poor ballhandler and streaky shooter-- nevertheless, I expect Stanford to close down the inside and Lou to struggle from the perimeter.. Game should be tight and rugged.

I was torn on this game from the start, but after sitting down and looking at it, I do really like the points.

kentucky fans in general don't like UofL, but trust me, they'll root for them instead of some California team. You can bank that the crowd will be on UofLs side, and it will be akin to a home game.

Goods may be average, but he was a big part of that team until he got hurt. When he went down, the team did too.

They wen't 3-3 without Goods and beat a great Oregon team but lost to UCLA big.

His first game back against a solid USC squad they lost in OT and he wen't for 19.

I love the points, Stanford was 15-7 before his injury.

Take the points laugh at how overrated Louisville is!

Stanford looks lost, they better come out a different team in the 2nd half and try as best they can to not let the lead get any bigger this half.

I seriously thought they would be a little more competitive than this, wow! Healthy team and they still don't deserve to be in the big tourney. Syracuse or FSU would've been a much better game.
