They're -1646 for the season. So if you bet against them every game you would be doing very good.

at that price can't touch the mets w/ the injuries they have and the possibilty of limited services of santana with the foggy/misty/showers tonight...

pass on the game for me,

besides rule #1 never bet on a team with back to back "Martinez" in the lineup, j/k...lmao!

Daniel Murphy is back at first base and Fernando Martinez will start again for the Mets on Wednesday against the Nationals.

Here is the full Mets lineup:
1) Pagan, CF
2) Castillo, 2B
3 )Wright, 3B
4) Sheffield, LF
5) Murphy, 1B
6) Castro, C
7) F. Martinez, RF
8) R. Martinez, SS
9) Santana, P

Mets are doing fine, there is no problem in backing them. So what, the price is alittle steep. Its about winning in betting, not value.

bryanz, i'm curious as to your reasons on taking the nat's today. martis had his worst outing of the season when he faced the phils earlier in the year giving up 7er at philly. hamels has allowed 3 er or less in 6 straight starts and seems to be getting his form/confidence back. Add in the fact he's going against a weak team in washington i think the run line looks like a solid wager. i have to admit i'm a phils fan but i don't blindly bet on anyone. i was actually thinking of betting the phils team total over tonight once its released. I always like to hear opposing thoughts though. thanks.

Didn't say I was on them ... just a few reasons to like them @ this price.... thinking hard about it..nationals are 6-3 with martis.... 7-31 with the rest... yea he had a bad one against the phils,in a 11-13 gm ???? also had a good one.... phils are 4 under @ home.. o-6 L6 -vs- (R) starters @ home.... look at the run support L3 for both.... <4 for hamels...> 6 for martis..... not like the nationals cant hit against these guys...they have scored : 8,8,11,1,4,6,5,5,6,4.......... I'll take my chances with that philly pen if it's close.... don't see why it can't be.... both teams have won 4 of L5 for todays starters... wash hitting 273 on the road vs (L)..... Phils 238 home vs (R).... Martis is the type to drop a good one on anyone.... National love to play behind and hit for this guy.... He's gives them a chance almost every time....

remember the phills suck at home and the nats can hit the ball and the phillies bullpen sucks this year so far so i am rollin with the nats against my squad gl :SIB

not if you are playing every day, with multiple games for action and hopefully profit and looking at the big picture. There are not many big action, muliple game chalk betters that can show a profit over a season... when your in a hole, it's deep. Your not going to win them all or as many but you don't have to, if you look at the short side... Lets face it, most gamblers motivation is not solely profit. I can keep my head above water at about 40%...mix in the -100 to- 120.. parlays that pay 10 to 1 for 2 teams & 20 to 1 for 4 teams.... when you do double up you have something... I haven't got hot yet this year and showing a profit. Value does count. Even when you are on the right side you are going to get beat @ every and any price. I'll take the short BB bettor every time over the long haul... Not talking about bridge jumpers & chasers. Those guys have their huge days if they live to tell about it in the end. The big question is : do you want to count how many plays you win or how much money you win ? If you don't have the patients or temperament for the short side.. Throw out everything above !` When you look at the short side your not looking at the obvious... There is no sustainable value in the obvious in gambling for most gamblers. Some guys can bet only chalk and win, I'm not that good.
