According to ESPN Benson was asked which would he prefer -beat Oklahoma or win the Heisman and he responded win the Heisman. According to the ESPN reporter, Benson was asked the question again to give him an opportunity to re-think his answer and he repeated that no he always dreamed of the Heisman and that would be bigger for him.

They had Mack brown on later and Brown was asked about Bensons comments and man, did he dance. He claimed that Benson was misunderstood and is a good kid that wants to win.

Maybe winning Heisman is bigger than beating Oklahoma.

Assuming it is an "either/or", I side with Benson. Oklahoma has lost approx. half of it's previous 5 games.

However if you link beating Oklahoma as a requisite for playing in the BCS national championship, it is a different story.

Question for you, what does this have to do with the injustices the Pac 10 must face year in and year out? :joke:

Cedric does not understand what is important. In part because his coach has taught him that losing is ok. Really fuxing sick of the bullshit.

It would be nice to see Texas as a national power again as now they are nothing more then a paperweight to Oklahoma.

I don't see it changing until that clown Mack is gone.

easy on the guy. he truly understands college football. his chance af winning the heisman is much better than texas beating oky. sorry, i like tx and i do not like oky. bottom line is that mack brown is a f'n idiot, and may never beat stoops.

I agree 100% -- I think this goes back to Mack Brown. Due to recent history between Texas and OU I would have the Longhorns constantly thinking about the Sooners at every practice, every meal, every meeting if I was in his shoes. I know the cliche is that it's "just another game" but in this rivalry it's not.

Texas would have needed to play out of their minds over the past few years to beat the recent OU teams, and if they are not treating it as priority number one they'll never find a way to best the Sooners.

Arkansas scared the heck out of TX. They have 2 walkovers before OU. mac will do all he can to keep his starters healthy. This year he has a real chance to break the streak. Game films from KSU & LSU have been dissected sliced and diced.
those first moves by OU receivers won't be total sellouts by UT db's and corners. Stoops is a fine coach, the pedestal is just alittle tarnished.
