hell no!!!!!!!! please save your money. gtown is absolutly horrid. they have a lackluster offense, and once the opposition learns how to stop it (and i belive they will, just as the cuse did) its bye bye gtown.

if you MUST play gtown........please play small, don't doubt the mvc. i think bradly is their only loss in the opening round....mvc 3-1 ??????????? we'll see

a few first round stats

-In the last four years, underdogs of 10 or more points have gone 33-18 ATS in the first round of the NCAA tourney.

-Underdogs of less than ten points have gone 32-45 ATS the last four years.

I like the way Gtown matches up here. N.Iowa isnt a big ball club as Santos is their biggest player at 6-10 and he pretty much sucks. Stout is a tough 6-8 and good player but I think Bowman matches up well here and they will have no answer for Hibbert.

im not sure i could ever put big money on or against georgetown. on paper, they always seem to have an edge in matchups. but they rarely take advantage of their height. for as much size as they have, you'd think they'd be a little better than +2.9 during conference play. not only did uni beat iowa and lsu outright, but they won the glass against iowa and they were only (-1) against lsu. a lot of times you look at a midmajor upset and assume they just got hot free 3pt range to offset the interior deficiencies. but they matched both of those teams on the glass and thats impressive.

i know it seems like im always offering an opposing viewpoint. and sometimes thats true. but i this case, id be saying the same thing if you liked northern iowa. its too tough to bet big money on or against georgetown. because on any given day, they can take advantage of their size and pound teams. but some days, they play 'small'. assuming the total in this one is correct (and it should be pretty accurate) there arent going to be a lot of point scored altogether so either side is going to be a sweat and its going to be tough to pull away and get more than a 6 or 7 point lead. no matter who has the lead, the opponent should always be within striking distance where a 4-0 or 6-0 run can tie it.

since losing in the National Championship game to Michigan St. in 2000, Florida has alternated losing in the first and second rounds each year. Lost in 2nd round to Temple in '01; Lost in 1st round to Creighton in '02; Lost in 2nd round to Michigan St. in '03; Lost in 1st round to Manhattan in '04; Lost in 2nd round to Villanova in '05....

I guess this is the year South Alabama beats the Gators in the first round...
