I never said everyone in this forum is bad or stupid, nor did I call any names I asked one question....could we make money fading the forum?

Yet instead of solid responses(except for sleazy77) I get mornic respones which indeed answers the question after all. no???

I think the outcome today speaks for itself. I'm not posting much this year but I did play Vandy yesterday and Nev today. Most of my bets have been parlaying favs between -6 and 12 points on th ml. Doing very well so far but the second round will be a lot tougher. You start blindly fading the cappers that have been around here a while you'll go broke.

Scoop,

Please continue to tell us who you are playing so we can fade you

2-0 100% so far

GL - maybe instead of trying to figure out different dumbass systems to turn a profit you should put a little bit of work in and make your own plays based on solid info - a post like this is made to draw attention and you got it - just have a feeling you lost a lot of respect with along with it

Please - continue to let us know who you come up with in this glorious system you've stumbled upon

Fading the forum would seem to be fine ...except you posted your fade - which meant you yourself became someone to fade. It negated any fade mojo you had prior to posting the fade....which became a pick rather than a fade the moment you posted it.

Clear?

"Singletary is red hot and does not seem to be missing a thing. Albany is playing decent just getting outshot and the crowd is very pro Cavs. If they can keep it to withing 10-12 at the half we have a shot of Albany getting below that 8.

So Scoop, on Albany too? Who did you fade on that one?

0-3 and counting

Who are you going to fade for your big "get out of the hole" play? Please post when you figure it out

I'm the new Kid around here but I'v been looking at the forum for probably over 2 years, just now decided to post. I'v noticed that the forum will go Hot and Cold. You could fade 1 poster consistantly, but if he goes on a hot streak which most of us go Hot AND COLD. You will end up losing. In the Long run EVEN THE "considered great posters' at this forum". They have their losing streaks as well. Example Raymond is hot as of now and Thunder was Cold today, both solid cappers at this forum. I can't imagine ANYONE hitting MORE THAN 65% TOPS through the year. AND If you think about it that's really NOT THAT great BECAUSE of Vig LOSSES. Basically in my opinion the ONLY ones that win are the Books and maybe 1 out of every 100 of us in the long run. You could fade the forum or follow the forum, you probably will hit just about the same.

Just wanted to clarify a couple of thoughts on this subject as I read this thread last night after a long day of hoops and drinking....

1st of all, one of the general angles that many or all cappers have used at one point or another is the contrarian/anti-consensus angle - there are many ways to gather info for this angle, be it visiting websites that post consensus #'s, figuring out who's ass the media is kissing, or even going to websites like this one to try and get a feel for what people are thinking

I've done it, everyone has - but to come in and talk about fading the board is basically a slap to the face of everyone who has the balls to post their plays here - people's posts at Madjack's reveal tons of great info and sometimes some not so great info - simply sort through it and make plays as you wish - but don't come in and let the world know how rich you would be by fading the cappers on this site - probably a lot of guys on here that make $$ gambling, sometimes tough to translate your exact winnings or losses to posted units or posted plays if you don't post all of your plays, and many are obviously in the + for this season in posted units as well - there's a reason that a lot of guys have been around here for a long time, and that's b/c they haven't gone broke - they haven't reached the point that many have where you have to say "ok, I really did it this time, I guess I'm going to have to quit" or whatever -

so Scoop, fade whoever you want and do what you will, but if you have something really negative to say just keep it to yourself

GL and happy fading

I have been following this forum since 1995 and there are only a handful of handicappers still here from that era. These guys do their homework and are very good decision makers. I never here these few professionals talking about bad luck, jinx's, 10 star plays, or fading the entire forum. I've seen many "know it alls" here and the funny thing is that they eventually fade away. Some of the consistently good betters have left this forum because of the immature behavior here(ex:Fletcher) which is too bad. This forum has a different feel than it did 10 years ago, too many times rookie betters come here, go on a six game winning streak and feel they are automatically in the same league as some of the veterns such as Raymond, Volfan, Thunder, Steel City and a few others. The nice thing about this forum is that no matter who you are you are entitled to your own thoughts and opinions (but that does not make you one of the elite cappers here). Jack has put together one helluva website here. There are many other capping forums on the net but they pale in comparison to this one in my opinion. Thanks to all that consistently do their homework here, I sure appreciate it even if others don't.
