It's about 45 minutes from me, have only recently discovered it and been there once. I don't know a whole hell of a lot about horses, but it seemed pretty bush league - lots of maiden races and such. Just wondering if anyone else ever goes there or handicaps any of the races there? Or is it really more like minor league racing that not many people bother with? Thanks for any input.

Retama Park

Retama Park

Retama Park is a good track. It is the size of track I like to play. If you are a good capper and know the trainers and jockeys you can make some good money.

I haven't played the track too much. Problem I have is , many races there are just too many horses running to fit my comfort zone. I just don't see how you can cap a race with 12 horses or so. I have two sons that use to go all the time, and cash big. Man, Let me tell ya, the old man can't hang with em. I went once , prior to a Cowboy game, with one of my boys, he hit 5 supers in a row. I could not believe it, but he spends alot more than I want to on each race. GL
