No but when I was 15 I hot wired a car. That cost my rear-end some hurt and the night in jail. It was my uncles but that did not matter. Oh I learned good lesson. Boy what a trip. I know this does not help you much. :D

Yes, I used it to get hotel rooms for Disneyworld. The price is pretty good but you are locked in to whatever you book, i.e. no cancellation and you don't know where you are staying at until you accept. Let me know if you have questions about how it works, I will be around until about noon tomorrow.

I have used Hotwire for rental cars in the past and have gotten unbelieveable deals...

I got screwed on a flight with priceline when they first came out and since then have not been able to pull the trigger on another flight deal that I don't know the itinerary before I purchase...

Haven't booked ahotel room through them...

Try sidestep. It is a browser that you download that compares alot of airlines (used to have Southwest but not anymore). I find it very helpful when planning a trip...

Good Luck YYZ

I won't use hotwire because you do not know the details of the deal.

I use Orbitz and I really like it.

Just returned from my orlando trip from my hotwire booking. Rooms were at the Disney Hilton for 70/night which was good. When I first booked them I was a bit upset because I was given a room with a kingsize bed and was traveling with my family of 4. When I contacted the hotel they told me I couldn't change but finally relented after several calls and said they would try. When I checked in I received a room with 2 double beds and the hotel was very nice. I would use hotwire again if I recieved a good rate but would check Travelacity first because once you book with Hotwire you can't cancel.

I've used hotwire in the past-- only on airline tickets, however. I get an idea on price using the other various sites that will show you price and intinerary, and if hotwire has the best price for that particular trip, I book thru them.
Seems as though I always get seats in the worst part of the plane booking thru hotwire. Very last row near the johns and jet engines is typical of the seats I've had when using hotwire. Have saved anywhere from 50-225 bucks by using them. Some day I'll decide the discomfort of sitting near the rest rooms will outweigh the savings and I'll not use hotwire anymore. I say that now having just book our trip to Vermont over X-mas using hotwire......:nono:
