Anyone know if Weekes is starting for CAR? (nt)

:The Canes have a big decision as to who will start in goal. Irbe has been the No. 1 goalie, but was clearly angry after being pulled from successive games. Backup Kevin Weekes played well in relief.
Carolina coach Paul Maurice said he won't make that decision until game time.

Raleigh News & Observer said Maruice would decide during an afternoon practice. Just wondering if any local fans heard anything on a pregame report or anything.
I apologize for not posting an answer to this question Nick, I was at the game tailgating and left before it was posted. Just got back, unbelievable game, Weekes by far the best player on the ice for the Hurricanes (Who would have thought!).
For the 3rd time in this series, I left the game feeling that the Canes "stole" one from the Devils. All 3 wins the Devils had a very good chance to win the game. Weekes will most definitely get the start in NJ this weekend, and it would be a crime if he didn't. Personally, I think Carolina will win in NJ in game 6. Yes, they did get outplayed and beat thoroughly by the Devils in games 3 and 4, but both were very similar games. Early goals and undisciplined play put the Hurricanes out of the game soon after it started. I just feel like it's their time. If it goes 7 I think the Devils experience gives them the edge, but the home crowd has been a force so it's a tough call.

I like the Canes to take it in 6 as well. I was hoping to get confirmation on Weekes in time to play Carolina small if he was in. I have liked that guy all year and I thought he gave them a big edgeif he were to play tonight. Unforunately the first confirmation I got was about 1 min before faceoff when the Hockey Night in Canada pregame mentioned it. Oh well, there will be other plays out there to try to hit.
