pre-war Ramble On

12:3 ariz@Cin
1st-rounder Leake is still young and may turn into something someday (a felon?), but he hasn't shown much, yet, and the Redsticks have chilled some, especially vs R, while the D'Backs are hitting better than most expected. Hudson is 0-3 but continues to show last season's promise with a decent whip, keeping the ball in the park and a good strikeout total, not to mention only getting 4 runs of supports over the 3 games due to the club facing some hot starters.
d'backs should be dogs but just how big?
I can't imagine too much.
With some runnage Wed, vs Arroyo (wind blowing out, too), I could be hoppy circa +125ish.
ump Barksdale is even

Prince makin' papa proud on the Cliff-man!:00hour

1:40 wash@Stl
Prefer rejuvenated Lohse to the constantly floundering Gorzelanny. Just don't like Cards work vs L, in recent years and again this year. Nats showin' some mojo recently, too, and with a double-header goin' down (weather permitting) Wed. I don't think I'll be interested in the -140+/- that we'll see.

Freakin' Fielder didn't score on that McGehee single?

Jeez...I backed Narveson against a girls volleyball team in his last and he wasn't this sharp.
No offense to any girls volleyball teams that stop by.

3 atl@Lad
Jurrjens was sweet in his first go, a few days back. Meanwhile Kershaw had a crap start after looking brilliant first few. Real tough call with the usually slumping offenses and I doubt that the Braves will duplicate Tuesday's performance Wednesday, though they are facing Dr.Q.Garland. Real tough call and hard to fade either SP, currently. BP better for Braves, but a microscopic Blue-lean here at even-money, which it won't be (Lad -whatevas).

7 hou@Nym
Happ's not in top form, certainly, but Capuano looks fadeable, presently, and Astros are actually hitting lefties quite well, as in recent years--and certainly better than the Mets. Mildly better BP, too. You can count me on a V-shot at anything resembling even-money...doggie-time would affect my pulse even more.

7 pit@Flor
Should be Sam Holbrook ump'ing. He's 4-0 on overs this season and has gone that way 3 of the past 4 years; his whole crew, really, with both Gibson and Davis look like an over-crew. These SPs look grim, though 1st-rounder Volstad is still young and has had a few minor flashes in the past...not much, really. McDonald has been totally grim and while the Fish possess a solid BP, and neither offense has any Silver Slugger contenders, methinks this is over or pass(over). Will have to see number (below 9 would stun me) and check windage later.

First base-runner Narveson's allowed and then--hello--double-play!

Oswalt's been pretty solid and I still think that Latos is a juicy up-and-comer. Phils O has tanked the past week and Padres O has tanked the past decade. Phil will be -130 to -150, methinks, so passing will be my pleasure, there. Total likely 7, at Petco, and wind allegedly will be blowing in from far-left, but this looks like a see-ya for me.

BTW, wind supposedly in from center in that Landshark game, so the over becomes less appealing despiting the mound presences.

First 5 woulda been nice for brew-crew.
whatevas...price was much better for game.

6:40 cws@Tb
Couple of former 4-th overall picks goin' at it, here. Neither quite paying off as hoped for but both have their moments. Is the finale and Chisticks look majorly grim after starting off so hot. Prefer chisox but the +110+/- won't be enough for me to back this hurting club.

7 min@Balt
Baker's been up-and-down, like usual, while Guthrie had a crappy go last time after starting beautifully. Still liking O's with the BP trouble for Twinkies and the floundering O they present. Win Wed., in a good showing by Balt, and it will be even more appealing. Probably bordering on the -150 range which makes it far less appealing. -125, even...hoppy (dreamy)
ump Wegner reasonably even
wind left-to-right at 16mph

Tomlin 3-0 though methinks that could be illusory. Indians funky start (in a good way) may or may not be, what with the Central looking funky (in a weird way) once again. O'Sullivan had a good go, first start, but it was vs M's and my grandmother had a good start vs them this year, if memory misserves. Could be close to even money or slight-fave V's, but another stinker by Injuns Wed. and the pass flags are going to be flying over here. I'm expecting a better showing by the Tribe tonight (Wed) so an O'Sullivan may be in order.

Don't start walkin' people now, tool-box.

10 bost@Laa
Becket has been beauty so far but the O has majorly stunk, save for vs Jays and Yanks. Angels getting surprising production from lower in the order but I don't know what to make of this Chatwood dude...sure, he looked good vs tanking Chisox in his last but his spring was nothing special and the dude wasn't even born until after I got my dealer's license (i.e. barely out of diapers). ...

...yeah...1st5 looked good, didn't it...

'Sox will have a tag and I see 'em only as slight faves, here, so likely passage. Under a 9.5, maybe, with a good ump, good weather and a good bartender.

well...at least now into that banged-up Phil BP

10 oak@Seat
Felix is not on his game yet, apparently, and McCarthy seems to be exceeding his. Backing this M's O is a shaky proposition and Felix will have a higher sticker price, here. Under possibilities but this total will be tiny and the M's BP is not very good while the A's BP isn't looking as good as in years past.
pass

If that doesn't make sense then let me know.
If it does then you must be down early, as I.

GL whatevas
plays later

I think this is added up properly (subtracted up properly):

45-53-5 -5.02
---
ml:29-31 +0.14
rl:2-8-1 -5.08
1st5:8-7-3 -0.15
totals:4-3-1 +0.88 (ov:2-0-1 +1.5) (un:2-3 -0.62)
team totals:1-0 +0.5 (ov:1-0 +0.5)
props:1-0 +0.5
parlays:0-4 -1.81
---

Up decent on NL ml dogs.
Down big on NL ml faves, and NL rl's overall.

It's early?

d'backs +119 1/1.19
astros +122 2/2.44
Marlins -127 1.27/1
phillies -108 1.08/1
Orioles -134 2.01/1.5
indians -108 1.08/1
-

Hope Leake enjoys his T-shirts and fuck this Obama birth certificate already.
Seems Bay may play. I care nay aye.
Changed my mind on that over-lean at Landshark...Fish may go over but whatevas on the Pit potential.
Phil price seems too low. Padres coming home from doubleheader and--big deal--they managed a W vs lefty stiff Russell.
Twins floundering and little sign of that changing.
Will try the Tomlin illusion.
