New to this posting thing but here it goes...
This is a very interesting NYB stake race where I think some value can be found despite the short field. The fastest horse in the race is the 6, Driven By Success, but he has a couple things working against him today:
1) This is not his best distance
2) He is coming off 2 very good efforts late in his 5yo season and should regress a bit.
I'll be leaving him off my tickets and if he beats me at odds on, so be it. The other "play against" for me in this race is the 4, Saginaw. His last looks better on paper than it was and at 5/2 I'll pass. Of the rest, I think either the 2 or the 3 are the most likely. I will probably structure my play as follows:
Win - 2,3 (going a little bigger on the 3)
Ex - 2,3/1,2,3
EXB 2,3
