NO.

Avg median income - DOWN
avg home price DOWN
# of people in workforce - DOWN

# of unemployed UP
CPI UP
Gas prices UP
# of people on foodstamps UP
# of Afghan war casualties UP
National Debt UP

US Dollar 12% weaker

And the "Misery Index" is up 62%.

Oh - but the stock market has made new highs.

So, if the economy is Bush's fault, I guess the new stock market highs are his as well?

I'll make a prediction.

If Obama wins in 2012, US will be facing Greek-like debt issues by 2018.

If Romney wins in 2012, US will be facing Greek-like debt issues by 2028.

If Gary Johnson wins in 2012, the US can avoid it's debt crisis.

It is a simple choice if the US voter was not so ignorant.

Obama = liiberal Statist ---> Socialism

Romney = Neo-con Statist ---> Facism

Johnson = llibertarian ----> Freedom.

Johnson -
for freedom of Choice
for legalization of marijuana
for ending war on drugs
for ending foreign wars
for selling off overseas military bases
for a Fairtax
for fiscal responsibility
for legal, expedited immigration
for ending corporate subsidies
for a clean environment and
for a real energy policy
for repealing the Patriot Act

Glad you can say that as you would be in the minority on that one. LSU looked good last night.

I like Johnson's list. Lots of stuff with popular appeal there, but....

I have to wonder how he plans to end corporate subsidies when they are the financial lifeline of many/most members of congress.

How will he promote a clean environment when there are millions in cash bribes available from the likes of big oil and coal?

And what's a "fair tax"? Compared to present tax structures, who will benefit and who will pay more?

What does he propose to do about health care?

What is his proposal for Social Security?

How will he makes us competitive in the global market?

The way I see it, correct me if I am wrong, is that the President has his hands tied by Congress on most issues unless large numbers of his party are elected.

If Obama is elected, expect Republicans to block him at every turn. If Romney, Democrats will do the same.

And if Johnson?

Ha - I actually laughed at that, Skul.

Wish I knew the answers to HOW to get it done, Duff.

The polarization between the two parties has never been higher and I think both sides are to blame.

Using reconciliation to pass Affordable Health Care (god, I just have to laugh at that name) has really tightened the sphincters on the other side of the aisle.

A real, legitimate third party is needed to break the morass we are living in.

Johnson had an impressive record as Governor of New Mexico where he was term limited out.
Take a look if you have a bit of time - I understand that dealing with one state is entirely different than dealing the whole 50 federally.
