I've never heard of bagged milk

:mj07: .....comparing something that I had to do when I was a kid, to her now doing something as simple as putting in a new bag of milk after she emptied the last one....no comparsion, yet she asks why me.... .....speaking of bagged milk, kid's now a days even have that easy. Shit they drop a bag of un-opened milk no big deal. When I was a kid I remember banging the bottle of milk on the corner of the table and there was :nono: more milk. Also remember going out early one morning to steal milk because we didn't have any.....my kid's have never been in that position.

Now that I said that....:tmi: and :mj11: :help: :ban: from this thread....kurby

I was just going to say the same exact thing...what the heck is a bag of milk???

My milk either comes in a plastic container or a carton.

Is it like a bag of wine??

Uh.....:mj03:

We haven't had a carton of milk in our house for  years. We buy a 3 litre bag and in that bag there are 3 bags of milk which you then put in a plastic container and away you go....drink up and if you're the last to use it, you replace the container with a new bag....:yup

What about those Jeans we had that were stiff as cardboard--I truely believe one common problem in modern society is inabilty to cope with adversity--if folks had the luxeries 50 years ago of those considered at poverty level now--they think they were living in tall cotton. :)

...what's funny is that all of the southern guys scratch their respective heads when someone mentions a bag of milk.... (count me in that group); yet we don't flinch at the phrase "livin' in tall cotton" because we've heard that all of our lives.... LOL :142smilie

...lived in the country and had the BIg 3 stations...and "changed the channel" for the old man more than too often. :mj07:

...and Jack, don't even get me started about appreciation vs expectations.... :nono:

Definitely a Canadian thing Jake. Its like trying to explain Ketchup chips to them, or a Coffee Crisp. Just does not translate over the border!!

Jake, do you remember trying to get WUTV the Buffalo channel, with Rabbit Ears in Toronto. Man I remember we would be jumping off the walls when we could even get a glimpse of the promised land of USA programming!!

Who remembers these??

Rabbit ears.....**** yeh. At the bar last night to watch the game and the TV's reception was all snowy on channel 16, so my buddy asked the waitress to check "the rabbit ears" to make it clearer. Her being about 20, it went right thru her ears because she didn't have a clue what he was talking about. For this one TV they had to switch over to 53 as 16 wouldn't come in. Speaking of last night I had eaten 8 Jalepeno Poppers, which is Jalapeno stuffed with cheese, fries, and 20 wings with Armagetton sauce which is the hottest. When I got to the 16th wing the tears coming out of my right ear was like water dripping from a tap...literally drops. The guys were laughing so much and one of my buddies Eddie had said "might have to stop the fight, he can't see the next wing".....****en :142smilie. I couldn't wipe because I would have gotten sauce in my eye....:scared. The guys were laughing so much that they had the other tables looking over. The waiter had told us that the night before a customer had eaten 7 and his friend had 1 from the 20. We had 3 other guys join us later and one of them had said "no problem" which lead to a $100 to eat 2 from one of the guys..."cash now". Called the waiter over and that's when Pep had said :nono: ....not even for $500. Frankie then asked the waiter what the record was and he had said "28 at that location"....I was just getting ready to leave and with it being late I passed up breaking the record. Had I known earlier I would have had 30....both eyes would be  Rabbit ears, yes I remember them....along with wrestling with Chuck ?? on channel 4 Saturday's and I think it was at from 5-6 on WBEN Buffalo....later

the saying is "shitting in tall cotton". I have a bag of milk but I have to pump the handle really hard for a long time to get it to spit out some of the milk and only my girlfriend likes the taste.

I remember sitting in my kitchen and tuning the rabbit ears to get some of the soft porn to come in on half the screen when OnTV first came out. You could sometimes get a half of a boobie on one side of the screen if you looked real hard. After about a half an hour of background noise, fake moans and an occasional breast, I would usually molest what ever meat product was defrosting on the counter. AAAHHHH the good ole days. I would ask Mom what was for dinner tonight, she would say liver or whatever, and the bad thing was I had always had it the night before if you know what I mean, so I didn't eat with the family alot.

Looks like something off the old series Battlestar Galactica! Loren Green could have used it to intercept incoming Cylon Warrriorships out of the Delta Quadrant and tape his next ALPO commercial:142smilie
