Did you people ever think it's their "patio"? Or, perhaps their "den"?

Just because you use it for a car cover, or to hold your lawn mower, doesn't mean everyone should. In fact, they seem to be the smart ones! They are actually utilizing this space for themselves, rather than building a special addition to their home for their car! The idea of a place to keep your car, is asinine!

It's official, YYZ lives in his parents garage. I always figured it was the basement.

was thinking the same thing....most everyone in the area that owns a split foyer home has converted their garage into some sort of add`l living space.....

being concerned about what others do with their own shit seems like a waste of energy...but hey, whatever floats your boat...

We have about a 1000 sf space in our basement that is a collection of junk that is primarily my sisters and my parents. We have tried to get rid of a lot, but the only problem is that some of the stuff is really old family heirlooms. What do you do with that kind of stuff that you never use? What purpose does it have collecting dust in a basement? At the same time, it is harder to get rid of that kind of stuff...

America is based on consumerism from bottom to top, and as a culture we definitely succeed, but it also contributes to a lot of emptiness and unhappiness in my opinion.

WE had that same family problem. My mother-in-law collected all crappy things, including porcelain bird statues and hand painted rotary saw blades ....good God when she passed, the house was full of em....
We decided to pick ONE or 2 items, a few personal pictures, opened the house to ALL family members for a week, and what they did not want, we called the HOW foundation to haul off.

One of my dearest friends, Nate...RIP never had a pot to piss in.
He had a wife, small paid for house in the country and the very basics.

He was always as happy as a Lark. He always said.."If you got a bunch of money, stocks, property, and expensive stuff, you always got something to worry about"

Died in his sleep with a smile at 79.

Why sit in a garage when you have a backyard? We have outdoor furniture all around our backyard and are out there most evenings. I like to sit out there because I enjoy the outdoors. I don't think I've sat in a garage to hang out since I was in college.

GW, hell yeah I'm concerned. My wife spent two weeks in ICU from it a few years back.

We've sprayed a LOT and I make sure the only standing water is my pool. So far our backyard is pretty good.

When she's out there we always have the tiki tourches burning with that stuff in them as well.
