:facepalm: how this film wins Best Picture is beyond me, I thought it was fair at best, LINCOLN was a much better movie there is no doubt in my mind...I finally saw it last night...Hollyweird must be out of ideas for movies and re-makes

I had a chick over who wanted to watch it :facepalm: have you seen it? its not that good
seeing a movie on TV versus on the big screen is completely different. I saw Argo twice and thought it was a very good movie...........but zero dark 30 was better in my opinion.

I saw Argo also & eventhough I liked it & thought it was well done I didn't think it was the best movie for this year....
I also saw Lincoln & while DDL was terrific, I thought it was slow in some parts....Also Tommy Lee Jones & Sally Field, 2 great actors were miscast....
My 2 favorite movies were Le Miserables & Zero Dark 30....
And I agree with The Boys, a movie loses a lot by watching it on TV....
Agree with much of what was already said. I really liked Argo, it was the clear cut winner for movie of the year. Liked Life of Pi and Zero Dark Thirty as well. Christoph Waltz did a fantastic job in Django Unchained and made the movie in my opinion. Lincoln was a boring flick, but it did have good history and portrayed the time period well - the actors were miscast (I agree with AR182).
