Lute Olson will be honored at half time (an extended halftime) and it should be a very emotional time. The coaches and players have been talking about this game for a while now and DONT want to lose. Throw in the fact that it's almost a must win for an NCAA bid and I can see passion and energy not usually seen during a game.

A few issues however:

1) can they sustain it for 40 mins

2) Jordan Hill rolled his ankle vs UW on sat and is questionable....he returned for the last 3 mins but was clearly limping....his effectiveness is in doubt but cal doesnt have much of an inside game so his defense shouldnt be missed too much, however he-budinger-wise account for most of the scoring for arizona so if he has to leave/cant go arizona will have NO inside game.

3) arizona weakness on defense is three point shooting .....cal is one of the best in the country at three point shooting

that said, fuck it.....arizona WONT lose on Lute Olson day!

it's more of a 1-1-3 and when not forcing turnovers and chasing the ball they leave the wings wide open.....if cal is hitting, it's gonna be tough.....but we seem to have more energy/force more turnovers at home.

Whatever Pennell calls it, it hasn't been working the last three outings and he refuses to get out of it. I don't know why we don't mix in some man/man. I know Wise, Bud, and Hill are playing 36+ min. and probably can't play man for long stretches, but to sit there getting bombed from the wings just pisses me off.

I've heard Izzo too. I'm sure his wife wouldn't mind getting out of E. Lansing. No thanks, Few or Tubby. Calipari- not a good fit. Pitino may just be trying to get a raise from Lville- he would be my 1st choice, but I think Izzo is most likely.

calapari is the best fit and should be the #1 choice with pitino right behind him....not sure we can get either but i'd be happy as shit if i hear an italian named as our head coach

Calapari's got a shady pipeline runnin @ Memphis. He doesn't want to leave that lax scene- lookin the other way-no worries. Zona can't afford that risk- especially w/what came out this week. Not sure Cal would be able to work the West Coast effectively either. Although he seems to get the talent wherever he goes- Larry Brown protege. We'll see......BEAT CAL!!! :mj06:
