he is stud no denying, but randy johnson goes into tonight on 4 days rest off 125 and 116 pitch counts over last 8 days...if the cubs are smart and can go deep into the count ab early in the game and show some patience don't think rj will go more than 7 tonight...

zambrano 3 games so far are rated 5.0/6.0/6.0 out possible 6.0, would think if he can match johnson thru 6.0-7.0 innings the cubs might be better setup for bullpen late.

still early in season but bullpen numbersn for 7th inning on:

arizona:
AVG AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS TBB SO OBP SLG

.263 217 50 57 18 2 8 46 0 2 42 61 .388 .475

chicago:
AVG AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS TBB SO OBP SLG

.218 216 29 47 10 1 8 29 4 0 30 54 .316 .384

cubs getting around +110 would think they have a better than 47.6% chance to pull this one out....worth looking at maybe.

I WANNA TAKE THE BAIT VERY BADLY.....I MEAN THE CUBBIES!!!!! AS A DOG VS ZONA..........flskadjflaksdjfalsk

but randy j. is 11-0 vs cubs....the man has never lost to them...............having said that they may very well have to get to the bullpen to win this game and make rj get a no decision...

i really would like to think cubs win this game as that was my gut instincts this morning........but i just don't know

tell me to pull the trigger anyone tell me to pull the trigger and i just may

PULL THE TRIGGER!!!! Cubs are the much better team. Zambrano is underrated. Johnson's good days are behind him. The league has caught up to his stuff. I'm looking for RJ to hopefully not go more than 7 innings because of pitch count and then the erratic Zona bullpen comes in and gives it up. BUT, if the Cubby hitters aren't patient and make Johnson throw pitches then it could be a long night with the unit on the mound because he is still an elite pitcher in the league. Don't get me wrong. This line is ridiculously low for some reason. When was the last time you saw Randy Johnson such a small fav at home?? You never know, it could be a gift, but I don't think so. I feel it will be a close battled game and the Cubs will come out on top....Good Luck!!

SCREW IT YA LIVE ONCE WHY OVER THINK THINGS??

I AM TAKING ZAMBRANO OVER JOHNSON AS A DOG........THIS KID IS 22YRS OLD THROWS LIKE A MACHINE AND LIKES TO PLAY AT NIGHT.....RANDY IS AN OLD MAN AND AS I HAVE MUCH RESPECT FOR HIM HIS PRIME IS DONE AND ITS TIME FOR ZAMMY TO SHINE.

MY NUMBERS HAVE CUBS WINNING BY ROUGHLY 4 RUNS 6-2 TYPE OF SCORE... I WILL GO WITH THIS MATH AS IT HAS WORKED THIS WEEKEND FOR ME IN THE DET CLE SERIES.

SEEMS LIKE EVERYONE IS ON ZONA HERE AND I AM VERY SURPIRSED, I WOULD THINK CUBS AS A DOG WOULD BE THE POPULAR PICK  I AM NOT SAYING FADE THE FORUM, BUT LAST TIME I LIKED ROY HALLADAY AND SO DID THEY WHOLE FORUM AND HE LOST TO JACKA$$ PEDRO.....(WHO IS K. GARCIA TO CRITICIZE ME!!! PEDRO MARTINEZ???) :) I JUST GET A KICK OUT OF THAT....

LAST NIGHT I LIKED FOUR TEAMS
CUBS
SF
SAC +6.5 GAME 4
DEN NUGGETS ML GAME 4

I WILL MAKE A KILLING OR LOSE MY ASS I HOPE FOR THE FEW TIMES IN MY LIFE I CAN TAKE THE FOUR PACK DOWN

just purely trying to present an argument for discussion on the game, does not mean necessairly that there should be a play....

carib's numbers on the moneyline presently:

905 9:35pm Cubs (C Zambrano) vs Diamondbacks (R Johnson)Diamondbacks 34.69%
Cubs 65.31%
290 Bets
546

one thing of note over the years, its hard to put 4 consective game ratings of 5 or higher in a row with wins...such is the case with carlos tonight.

Is this made available for all games?

Cubs are not known for working deep counts...Alou, Sosa, Lee all look to kill first pitch fastballs. Randy is one of the few pitchers that does not need rest. He relies on his wacky arm angle, length and location to dominate. It matters none if he's throwing 95 or 92. If the slider is breaking down the righties ankles and the fastball stays below the waste, Randy will dominate the Cubbies free swingers. Leiter was able to keep the Cubbies in check yesterday with a 25 mph wind blowing out!!! Sexson and LuGo on fire. Dbacks a great home price tonight in my opinion.

Record 88-67

"I'm not the one"...sorry for the bad convincing of the Cubs tonight. The unit is on his game big time as he has given up one hit in five innings and struck out 7!! 6-0 D'Backs and I'd say kiss this one good bye...
