Where it is real F ing COLD
Up 12 let Washington come right down the field... Some dope crushes a defenseless WR to get a 15 yard penalty.. Then get the ball up 5 with 2:52 left and not run.. The QB throws the ball to a receiver who falls down.. The ball hit a tiny piece of his shoe and pops in the air.. Pick 6.. Kind of like the Giants pick against Dallas just not off the heel but by the point of the shoe.. Have a chance to tie 1sr and ten at the Washington 37 and the QB takes a Fucking SACK!!! So Arizona :thefinger :thefinger

Yeah, that was a shitty way to lose. I can't fault them too much for throwing there though. Foles was absolutely carving up UW's secondary, and their running game had only gained something like 80 yards all game. I know it's customary to play it conservative and run the ball there, but they had to get at least one first down to put the game away and the best way to do that would have been through the air. I would have been just as pissed if they played it safe and ran 3 dives up the middle.

The pick 6 was nothing more than a fluke. That play is a good example of why I never put much on games. Just way too many things happen that you can't cap.

And not to beat a dead horse, but AZ didn't lose the game because of that one play. They had 4 FGs on the night, and the longest one was 29 yards. That's right, 29 yards. So FOUR times they had the ball down to the UW 12 yard line or better, but couldn't stick it in the end zone. That's why they blew the game, IMO. They were gauging UW through the air between the 20's, but as soon as they got into the red zone they played it safe and started running the ball. Big mistake.

Oh, and the laydown on defense at the end of the game when they were up 12 with 4 to go didn't help either. Although I expected that. All teams go into prevent in situations like that (which is incredibly stupid).

Oh I know that.. It was just the plays I saw. Was at work and only followed on ESPN website. There were many reasons but I would think you would try one run first. Bad Beat Oh well that's gambling.. I just had to vent.. I am over it.. Getting ready for NFL

No worries, I hear ya. I had AZ -4 so I'm pretty pissed too. And don't get me wrong, that pick 6 was a huge play. Without that UW probably doesn't cover, let alone win. I was just saying if AZ had taken care of business earlier it wouldn't have even been close.

Maybe they should have ran it. Passing was definitely an aggressive call there. I think Stoops was thinking that if UW got a stop there, they would get the ball back and a TD would win the game for them. And after watching his defense let the other team go 60 yards for a TD in a little over a minute on the drive before, he probably didn't want to see them back on the field.
