Amid all the impassioned support for and angry backlash against Arizona?s new law to curb illegal immigration, the facts on the matter are being totally obscured. A new short brief I stumbled on to by the Morrison Institute for Public Policy at Arizona State University finds that while some public policy claims about the state?s illegal immigration situation are well-founded, others are demonstratively false or not clearly established from given data. To help clear-up the public policy debate, the brief ticks off nine clarifications, from the popularity of the state?s new bill to the impact of undocumented immigrants on crime, health costs, and school systems.

Here is the link if you want to read it as I learned from it:

How about we just adopt Mexicos Immigration Policy?

:toast:

I guess you didn't bother reading it as the above statement is irrelevant. I learned from it and is not biased in the least.

Wake up people, try to be informed and part of the solution.

I wonder if my Adobe reader can handle the job?

Good, you actually know what a PDF is. We're making progress. The paper focuses on 9 specific misconceptions regarding illegal immigration in Arizona. Why don't you pick just one of the 9 misconceptions and tell us all exactly why it's "bullshit"?

For once in your pathetic life, make an argument.

Sorry Skul, I guess that was a little harsh. But seriously, stop with the wisecracks and make an argument. There's gotta be something going on inside that little Skulnik brain of yours. Work with me here. I want to know why you think this paper's bullshit?

A good discussion on Meet the Press over the weekend. I get the impression J.D. Hayworth would like to setup internment camps from California to Texas, then round up every Hispanic or Latino in the country for processing and detainment. It'd be like the Japanese internment camps in WWII all over again.
