I really like the Auburn team and Cam Newton is a awesome player.

What I dont like is that Kentucky managed to come back in the second half on Auburn.

Auburns secondary is suspect and not really been tested except for South Carolina, and in my opinion they were lucky to win that game.

It helps that game is in Auburn, but Arkansas has beat them 3 of 4 games played.

Auburn to be severely tested by Ryan Mallet as Arkansas finally puts a game together for 4 quarters.

..............................................................

So they say that Ohio St hasnt played anyone good yet. Well maybe not, but I think they got too much in the gas tank for Wisky to handle.

Should be a great game, but Ohio St aint losing the number one rank one week after they got it.

If Wisky hadnt played like ass clowns vs Mich St I might think differantly, but that game made me wonder about the Wisky team on both sides of the ball.
...............................................................

I am really liking the Mich St team more and more.

I was surprised the way they handled Michigan in their home park.

I am trusting them to take this game as bigger games are on the horizon.
................................................................

South Carolina traditionally struggles against Kentucky, but they have way too many star players who just beat Alabama to fizzle out their chances in this game. Spurrier will have the
big cocks ready to rock.

Lattimore will be a beast against Kentucky.

Locke not playing for Kentucky is a real big deal in my mind. Fawking Hartline has no fear and could make it close, but I believe the writing is on the wall and South Carolina is going places.

Arkansas: Who Needs A Running Game?

When you watch Arkansas, you can expect to see the ball in the air. A lot. Ryan Mallett and the Razorbacks are third in the nation in passing yards, averaging 354 yards a game. Running? Not so much. Arkansas ranks 96th in running the ball averaging 108.8 yards per game on the ground. Going into the season, Ryan Mallett was considered maybe the SEC?s best chance at winning the Heisman in 2010 and definitely the best chance for an SEC quarterback at winning the Heisman. Now? Not necessarily. Enter Cameron Newton.

As any team in 2010, containing Cameron Newton is the biggest challenge for opposing defenses. The ability to scramble and pick up huge third down plays can absolutely rip the heart out of a defense. If Arkansas can contain Cameron Newton, even just a little bit, they can win this game and hand Auburn their first loss of the year.

Arkansas and Auburn square off on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 PM Eastern time at Auburn?s Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will be televised on CBS.

There is a feeling down here that Arkansas could win this game by 10+. AU squeeked by sub-par MSU and UK teams by 3, had Clemson drop a wide open pass in the end-zone in o.t against them, and won vs. S.C thanks to FOUR 4th qtr turnovers by the Gamecocks. They could EASILY have 4 losses right now.

If two near losses is coincidence, surely four is something of a Miracle. Yet the Lord has graced Auburn University with a team that now has 4 wins that surely should have been losses. My question to you is, why go against the Big Man himself?

Leaning towards the Razorbacks as well. My biggest concern is Arkansas has a crappy defense, but they can beat Auburn who's defense is almost as bad.

The Gamecocks have never played in an SEC championship game but suddenly find themselves leading a watered-down East division. For a coach whose team represented the East in seven SEC title tilts while at Florida, Spurrier sees an excellent opportunity.

"If there's a year for us to win the East, it's when the East is down a little bit," he said.

"We know one big win doesn't make a season. ... If we can go on from here and become a real solid team, maybe we can look back and say this is a big one."

Visits to Kentucky (3-3, 0-3) and sub-.500 Vanderbilt are next, and while neither foe has impressed thus far, the Gamecocks typically have trouble when they leave Columbia. South Carolina has lost six consecutive conference road games since its last visit to Lexington -- a 24-17 win Oct. 11, 2008.

The Wildcats may be the one team the Gamecocks feel comfortable facing regardless of location. Three Garcia-to-Alshon Jeffrey touchdowns in last season's 28-26 victory in Columbia extended South Carolina's winning streak over Kentucky to 10.:scared

Spurrier's personal 17-0 record against the Wildcats includes 12 wins during his years in Gainesville.:SIB

That streak started before the 19-year-old Lattimore was born, not that he expects it -- or his team's big win last week -- to matter at all Saturday.

"They probably think that we are going to be sitting high because we beat Alabama, but that is not going to be the case," said Lattimore, the nation's third-leading rusher (459 yards) among true freshmen. "We are going to be ready for them."

Lattimore leads the SEC in carries per game (21.4) and should get plenty Saturday against a Kentucky run defense ranked 97th nationally, yielding 190.3 yards per contest.:scared :scared

It was the Wildcats' ninth conference loss since 2008 that came by a touchdown or less.

"I think this team definitely has confidence, and they (feel they) can play with anybody in this league," first-year coach Joker Phillips said.

While the Gamecocks' struggles in recent years have come on the road, most of Kentucky's recent woes have come at home. The Wildcats have lost seven consecutive SEC games at Commonwealth Stadium.

That could be far more difficult if Derrick Locke can't play Saturday. The senior, who has four 100-yard rushing games and seven touchdowns, is doubtful with stingers in both shoulders.

Sophomore Donald Russell will get the start if Locke can't go.
......................................................................

Just too much for Kentucky to overcome in this game.

Lattimore alone is going to make them huff and puff in the third quarter. Hands on hips Kentucky lineman.

Lattimore made Alabama looks like clowns all game. Kentucky will not match up to this onslot of elbows and knees coming at them from all angles.
