SOOOO CLOSE FOR THESE HOGS!!!!

At least they competed with the best in the SEC! Be proud of that!

These SEC games are so tough and physical. Hard nose defense. You see that, 19-17 score. GREAT D! SEC sure beats up on each other. Too bad USC had to score 70 on Arky and not play a 19-17 game with great defense. :(

BE PROUD ARKY! You have held your own against most elite teams in the SEC! If Arky didn't miss 2 field goals, they prob. would have beat LSU!

LSU and USC are the best in each conf. (mighty SEC and weak Pac 10)

LSU scored 19pts against Arky.
USC scored 70pts against Arky.

LSU beat Arky by 2pts.
USC beat Arky by 53pts.

I think Arkansas was USC's easiest game of the year!

Air For, Idaho, Sac St, NMXST, Illinoi Cal-Davis, Portland State, Montana, Temple, Neveda, Grambling, Rice and N Arizona are not exactly murderers row and in most cases the so called directional schools would be considered upgrades! Six bwl slots and only four eligible teams ouch thats weak, what does the Big 10 have 7 or 8 eligible schools that play in the strongest league in the country according to Sagarin

Funny how you left off all the quality OOC games the Pac 10 played. There are MANY! You listed 12 OOC games when the Pac 10 plays around 30. Pac 10 has more quality wins than the SEC and Big 12. Big 10 IMO is the #1 conf. and ACC #2.

Mich St scored 44 on ND
USC scored 34 on ND

USC is ND's rival and ND had 2 weeks to prepare for USC. USC and MSU both won close games @ND. Very tough to do! Although I am sure ND focused more on USC than MSU, especially since they beat 2nd rival michigan the week before. MSU caught ND at the perfect time. That is why it is VERY difficult to go undefeated in CFB.

Whats the quality games? Navy and ND? You cant be including LSU since you think they suck. Bottom line again this year the Pac 10 is top heavy with the best team in the country, a solid offensive team in UCLA that play no defense, Oreg a good team that has overachieved and Cal a very average team that benefited from playing no one OOC. When you cannot fill your bowl slots then the league has alot of dead weight!

LMFAO. The master of distortion strikes again. Anyone who truly believes comparing a common opponent means anything is truly clueless. Of course no surprise that you picked Arkansas instead of Arizona State.

As for OOC, depending on definition of quality wins, Pac 10 has 3, 2 v Fresno and one v Notre Dame. That is absolutely it. Bowl me over.

MC - You can't be overly impressed with the SEC after watching that game. I mean cmon LSU looked pathetic and they're suppose to be the best team in the league

Arkansas is terrible... There is no other way to spin it.

Hey Scott if USC loses the NC, can we assume that we wont be hearing much from you after the fact??

Why? You heard from me before USC started their dynasty run. Remember? I came to the board touting USC and telling everyone Carroll was building a dynasty at USC. I believe sometime after USC lost the Las Vegas bowl!

If USC loses to UCLA or BCS NC Game, it just means USC gets to start another streak! USC will lose eventually, and when they do, I'll stand up and applaud everything they accomplished.

YOU CAN GET RID OF ME RIGHT NOW BY PUTTING ME ON YOUR IGNORE LIST! DO IT!

There are a lot of reasons why the Hogs hung with LSU today.

Arkansas' bowl game was today. LSU is a rival with the Golden Boot trophy on the line every year. Houston Nutt is one of the best single game coaches in the land. Too bad for my beloved Hogs that he can't do it all season, though. In a single game situation, though, he is pretty good at coming up with the best way to get the "moral victory." And, oh yeah, despite Broyles reassurances, Nutt was only about one booster away from being fired before today.

I will give you that Nutt is a pretty good coach. But cmon Arkansas is absolutely terrible. USC could of scored 100 pts on them if they wanted too... LSU has great talent, but if you don't get solid QB play it makes you look average...

I wasn't arguing that Arkansas isn't terrible. I'll agree with you there. They are young, but they have some great talent, especially on offense with more coming in next year. Defensively, well....they suck.

I'm a "dark-sider" in the case that I refuse to drink the Nutt Kool-Aid and accept the mediocrity he has brought to the program. If it wasn't for that asshole, Jim Lindsey, and his use of his influence on the board of trustees, Nutt wouldn't be there after this season. The son of a bitch just got paid $1.5 million this year to deliver 4 victories. That's a ****ing boat load of cash per victory. So, don't get me started about the state of our program.

However, I gave the reasons why they played with the Tigers today, in my humble opinion. That being said, LSU wasn't the best team the Hogs lost to this year. Auburn is.

Dirty Diaper,

First of all, Scott only started this thread to inflame others, but to answer your question no I am not a fan of the SEC although I feel they put out a quality product. Going back to Scott's excuse about Notre Dame, perhaps he doesnt realize thta ARK is LSU rival hence last game and that was his excuse about the ND game. Bottom line is that two years in a row the PAC 10 has failed to produce enough bowl eligible teams to fill their allotment of slots, can you just imagine how Scott would be attacking the SEC if they did the same? I nor anyone else is disputing that USC is perhaps the best team in the country but any rationale person would also be able to admit that the PAC 10 is loaded with alot of dead weight that brings the overall strength of the league down. I have asked Scott to name the quality wins but unfortunately he has declined to respond so I am to assume that the quality wins for the league are Fresno and ND since I dont think he would want to include a below average Oklahoma, or a team that was shredded by Mich and OSU in Northwaestern, or perhaps he thought Navy was a solid win but then again he must consider Rutgers a solid program. Again, don't get me wrong personally I think USC is the best team but Scott operates in a mode that attacks others but refuses to admit the problems in his own backyard and whom can ever forget his quote that USC's defense is on par or better than Ohio States.
