well, one night after that debacle we have my favorite game of the bowl season. I bet AF last week, luckily for me. No X's and O's for me on this one.

Last year, Baylor bounced back from a horrible 2020 (2-7) by coming close to the playoffs and going to the Sugar Bowl. not sure how excited they will be this year for the Armed Forces Bowl about 90 minutes from Waco. On a bitterly cold (real feel around -10?) and windy night.

I made up my mind during the Baylor/TCU game that i was betting against Baylor in a bowl. Just horrible decision making by the head coach and the qb.

Normally I don't like betting on the Academies in bowl games, because their opponent has a few weeks to prepare. But an unmotivated opponent? Go Falcons!

AF(+6.5) 6 units
AF (ML) 4 units to win 6.2
Under (43) 2 units

Bowl Record
Sides: 4-7 -6.0
ML: 2-3 -0.3
Totals: 7-6 +1.0

AF has won last 3 bowl games and I think was underdog in each one and covered. Baylor after last year heads swollen came back down to earth. Backing Bears today even though I can see AF is a little more motivated to play. With the top rushing attack and the top def rushing they have the " Mo " behind them I just think Arenda has had a week or two to prepare for the wishbone . But when you prepare for the wish of flex who is out there scrimmages against your No 1 defense. When AF run blocks the Baylor kid can say " wow the way he hit us and opened up a gap wasn't like that i practice. Its a different " animal" in practice then in real game situations. So when you adjust the Off does to. The academies Army,Navy and AF can dictate their offense , Look at Army 2 years ago vs Michigan. The Michigan DL was knocked around leaving Army with gaps so big anyone could of gained a few yds Then they played Oklahoma and the same thing.
I am taking Baylor only because I think their offense is better and Army D will have trouble containing it. No def coord want to play these academies North Texas removed Army from the schedule because it was the 3rd game and they didn;t have the time to prepare for them. And my theory of teams having enough time to prepare for these offenses you can throw out because AF has won its last 3 bwl games. But sticking with the Bears tonight. good luck smitty

I took your advice when you said take A Force instead of Georgia, so immediately got the Falcons +7-15. Let

Thank you, Box. Yeah, if you're not enthused about the bowl game, your defense does NOT want to play a triple option team. Throw in freezing cold weather, and you've got a shitty bus trip back to Waco.

Another Steve... probably a very good decision. :0074

Awesome! I had lunch with a friend yesterday who doesn't bet much. I told him I LOVED Air Force. I've told him my best bet the last few years, in fact. But he doesn't bet them. He texted me in the 3rd quarter last night "I should have bet AF." Some people just can't be helped.

Now I'm just rooting for some of the parlays I started with AF. It'd be nice to bring a couple of them home.
