doesnt this play into navys hands? army is a passing team and they sure arent gonna be able to pass very well.....at least navy can use their actual playbook. I really havent looked into this game much except to know that army is perhaps the worst Div1A team out there.

i wondered about the field and i came up with a grass field.......
anybody else have any info on the linc`s playing surface?....

With the line down to -21, I would think Navy would have no problem covering. Regardless of the weather, they should easily be able to run up and down the field. Paul Johnson is an unbelievable football coach and, I feel, will ultimately end up in the ACC or SEC as a head coach one day. Navy's defensive coordinator is Buddy Green, long-time DC at my alma mater NC State, and has really made a difference at the Academy. I can easily see a 42-7 type Navy win. GLTA.

Hard to take Army here GLTU.....Navy going bowling, will be focused,weather favors them greatly, what is Army playing for?

It's a hybrid synthetic/authentic grass field. Plays like real grass and is in fact real, however has some synthetic strands woven in to make it a little tougher to chew up. Does that make any sense at all? :shrug: In a nutshell, it's real.

the field has been covered and has a heating system underneath, it warms the grass to 70 degrees so it doesn't go dormat over the winter.(to keep it green). the field will not be a factor, it will be dry. the snow and ice are outta here but the temperature is around the freezing mark and not expected to rise. It is a windy day about 15-20 mph.

dc and bobmac are dead on. i forgot about the real grass intertwined with the synthetic. regardless, it will be cleared and should play well. field drains real well, and with the heating system bobmac mentioned they expect it to be fairly dry as well.

definately like the under as well. Should be all running game today, but I'm leaining with the +21. Everybody and their mother usually watches this game, this might bring up some more intensity for the Black Knights. Good luck!!
GL, GUYS BUT HARD FOR ME TO EXPECT A VERY BAD TEAM TO COVER 3TD'S. THEY HAEV LOST THEIR GAMES BY AN AVG OF 28+ THIS YEAR.
