Navy -10.5 over Army ****
Navy -6.5 1H **

its their 120th meeting and Army has dominated the past 3 years...after all the years I have been capping these guys its almost hard to believe Army has won the last 3..Monken the coach has stepped in and elevated this program big time...Except this year...after last yrs season of 11-2 and a 10-3 Army thought they could go 11-1 figuring they would lose to Michigan..Army schedule was very soft with teams like Morgan St ,UTSA,San Jose,VMI ,Mass,WKU,Geo St Rice.. but Army went 5-7..what happened ??? 1st of all they lost almost everyone on defense..then their qb Hopkins struggled with injuries and inconsistent play..he went from throwing for 1,000 yds and passing for 1,000 to about half of that this year..he was knocked out a couple of games but his stats fell way short..think he will start on Saturday but he is not at 100%..Army played 2 back ups Jones and Anderson and they did pretty well...but they couldn't move the ball or pass like Hopkins so teams stuffed the box vs their rb's.
Army ended up 2nd in the nation in rushing avg around 300 yds per game...but Navy led the nation gaining about 60-70 yds more per game..
Army is not going bowling with there 5-7 record so this is there Bowl Game and Super bowl game tomorrow..When Monken was asked in a press conf do your players need to be up for this game I loved his answer.. " I could be speaking in Japanese before the kick off and it would have the same effect ...we don't need extra motivation..its definalty a lot were playing for despite our record "...Army has lost 6 of 7 games by single digits but there schedule was very weak..they lost to Ga St,San Jose St.. Navy played a tougher schedule playing Notre dame,Memphis who they lost too..They beat Tulsa,Houston and Air Force. one common opponent was Tulane.. Army lost to them 42-33 and Navy beat them 41-38..Army wants to " four peat" //that mean since winning the last 3 close games the seniors go out never losing to Navy..and its vice versa for Navy..there seniors are 0-3 ..think John Paul Jones was a freshmen the last time that has happened...
Navy is loaded..they are going to the Liberty Bowl and are 11-2 only losses was to ND and Memphis...they rank no 1 in rushing but have a super qb in perry..Perry has rushed for 100 in his last 8 games..has over 1,000 yds in rushing and passing.. Navy's coach had pushed him for a Heisman nomination but was told he wasn't good enough...so I think Navys coach tomorrow afternoon unleashes Perry big time.. the game is 2.00 pm est..not sure what time the Heisman show is on tomorrow night but think that Niumatalolo would love to stick it in all the voters faces and Perry have a career game..Army will put 8 guys in the box and stop the option.. But Perry will pass over the the "box'..the line is was -10 now -10.5..think although these rival game are close throw out all the trends because there will be no Four peat..and Navy after last yrs 4 turnovers roll over Army by 2 tds or more .I was think about writing this up in Japanese but like Monken said " the results will be the same .. I am playing about 250 yens on Navy -10.5 and 1H -6.5 with 2 yens..

enjoyable write up Box.

Navy rolls hard in this one I think. Mainly, they just execute a bit better than Army this year.

So much on this game already out there...I watched Army's 1st game of the season vs Rice...and I could tell something was wrong.. Army survived 14-7..of course I had Army at -14 or -17 and lost...both teams play an option but are somewhat different..Army was successful in " time of possession". Thats how they went 11-2 and 10-3 the past 2 years..this year they didn't have those stats..although replaced they don't have Davis at fullback who on 3rd and less then 2 or 3 got 99% of every 1st down Woolfolk and the other backs..they have Slomka and McCoy but they are not as good ...even though Army has some injuries Navy's top wr Cooper is out and some backs are banged up... just think Perry is so good the Army defense will have trouble with his rushing and if they stack their line up Perry will go over the top...and lets not forget Army' defense is nothing to write home about..I might play the under since the under has come in since 2006 but again that's a trend ...maybe I;m way off but I still think Niumatololo who fired many off his asst last yr had geared his offense towards Perry will unleash him today and tonite watch the Heisman Trophy show and maybe say to himself " Perry was not worthy to be there with his season and stats...that is my take on this and no one else's.
Navy wins by 2 tds and Perry has a monster game ...and the West Point academy will still be upset because Trump will be there..he diverted over $50 million to the Point for improvements on his wall ...
