People ask me all the time since I moved to Austin,Texas do you miss NY and the Hudson Valley. I usually say a little but not as much as I thought. Well Today I Turn on the TV and College Gameday is at the Point.Seeing Michie stadium in the backround with the lake in front and the CBS announcers talking with that backround .. Wow I do miss NY and especially the Point. I don't miss the cold Dec day and all the leaves on the tree's gone but it hit home this morning. The game due to the C-19 is now being played at the Academy's home site. Only 9,000 cadets and midshipmen will be allowed in. Army will be wearing the colors of the 25th Divsion that fiught in the Pacific in WW 2.{ remember a few years ago when Army wore the Alpine ski white division uniforms..wow
Army is 7-2 and Navy 3-6. If Army played Navy's tougher schedule and Navy's played Armys the win loss records would be reversed. Monken Army's coach is awesome ' He won 3 in a row vs Navy until last yrs 31-7 Navy blowout.
Army's problem is the qb. Anderson won the job buit got banged up. Then Law,Jones Tyler and Ballard started. Army has started 6 qb's so far this season. Tyler we think will get the start today because he is fast and on those sweeps he can run by defenders. But Anderson is back and didn't look good in his last few games except when he played weaker teams like UL Monroe and M-tenn. I like anderson because he can pass better but Tyler can fly. Andesron did play a little in last yrs Navy blowout though. Navy has had problems all year on offense. There qb situation isn't the greatest and they don't have the rb's of the past .Army defense looks better but again they haven't played the Houston,Memphis's and SMOO's that navy did.
Army -7.5 over Navy **
I'm an Army homer and thats seems like a lot of points. But Monken I think will have his team better prepared after last yrs game. And if Tyler doesn't look good Anderson will step in. Think Army's OL line can dictate the Navy's DL . And Army does have the better backs.
Close game but Army wins this by 10.
Under is 36.5 Think the under is 13-14 in the past. But no snow only in the mid-40's. I have 3 friends working the game today as event coordinators. In the old days they called them Parking attendants and Ushers.
Will miss the Corp entering the field,the helicopter and sky divers delivering the game ball on the 50 yd line.
Patriotism is on display today and i hope Trump who is attending keeps a low profile because today is about the Corp and Midshipman '
Coastal -13,5 over Troy ****
After Watching Coastal dismantle BYU and dominate the line of scrimmage on both ends and watch McCall the QB who should get Heisman votes. He has just under 2,000 yds,20 tds and one interception. Is mobile and has Marable at Rb I lost about 6 *'s taking BYU last week, Today I get 4*'s back
