Navy -3 over Army ***
Both teams aren't going bowling this year. But this is there rivalry game so its really a bowl atmosphere Its the last game for many cadets and midshipman . The uniforms they wear are now representing former historic battle units. Army today will be wearing there Armored division uniforms from Operation Torch the WW 2 invasion of North Africa and Europe . Not sure what Navy uniforms look like but they will be in their whites with blue numbers.
Not sure if these uniforms have anything to do with the game
Both teams are disappointed in their season. Army defense has been one of the worst in the country in rushing defense. Army has 2 qb's one can run the option and can't pass and the other can pass but can't run the option. Navy qb is questionable to start because of injury. Army can only win at home and beat UMass and UConn. Navy beat UCF and lost to Notre dame by a few points.
Both teams run the tripe option and both rank high nationally but think Navy defense is better. Navy last year won and this series has gone back and forth. Emotions is such a big factor in this game. They both hate each but hate is probably the wrong word Living near West Point and actually working there baseball and summer camps back in the day there is a reminder of Army Beat Navy everywhere. In the old field house before Christal Arena was built on the roof of the Field House painted is " Army Beat Navy" Everyone on campus can see it since the Field House sits at the bottom of the campus near the Hudson River. The rivalry has made a peace treaty with the Navy brass and Army brass about stealing the Navy goat and Army mule. It got out of hand but my all time favorite was many years ago when Army cadets stole the Navy goat and dyed it pink and marched out on the field with the pink shaved goat..
There is no winner in this game. So historic from Joe Bellino to Doc and co.
I am taking Navy -3 because of Army's defense But if Navy qb is out might have to pass These guys aren't playing for a bowl bid this year but this is there bowl .
